This tutoring session is designed to support S3 pupils working towards taking National 4 or 5 Physics in S4.

For my tutees I use an initial session to understand your strengths, areas for development, goals and aspirations, challenges and any additional requirements for learning. We then agree a plan and review this as we go through the sessions to encourage successful learning.

A little bit of support can go a long way to improving your confidence and achieving the grades you deserve. Together, we will identify the skills and knowledge you want to develop and agree the best way to do it. Send me a message and let me know how I can help you.

About Me
Hello, my name is James and I could be your Physics tutor!

I have recently completed my teacher education (PGDE) at the University of Strathclyde and will be starting my first year of teaching in August this year. Throughout my placements, I have taught to National 4 and 5 level Physics at several good schools in South Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire.

My approach to teaching has always been that learning is easier if it's enjoyable.

Prior to teaching, I have 10 years experience working as an automotive engineer at Jaguar Land Rover where I worked on high voltage batteries (electric cars) as well as a range of other projects. I love to bring examples from the real world into my teaching to make it more interesting (and more than just cars, trust me!)

Beyond teaching, I enjoying a wide range of activities including playing squash, painting, stained glass, archery, golf, reading and exploring Scotland!
