About Me

I am passionate in teaching, I have an experience of teaching in professional setting before. Having read subjects like Political Science, History, Geography and Economics in-depth as part of my master's and having taught these before, I strongly believe that I will able to teach these subjects in a much more effective way. I follow more of a story-telling method which I believe can improve our understanding and make our basics strong. I like to structure my teaching lessons differently from most. I cater directly to the student and I realize that everyone is different. Some children will be seriously struggling with their subjects and will need me to focus on the basics and build up a foundation, whereas others will already be working at a good level and just need an extra push to get them to their goal. Whether a student is shy, unorganized, confident or even overconfident, my teaching style will be catered to them.

Hello,

I offer one-to-one private tuition to university students and adults in Political Science, Essay/Dissertation-writing, Political Economy, Economics, and European Studies.

I have 15 years of experience in high-quality private tuition, and I am also a Lecturer in EU Politics at one of the world’s leading universities (University College London).

My main areas of specialization are European Union politics and political economy, but I also regularly teach all other areas of Political Science, including Public Policy, Comparative Politics, Introduction to Politics, Populism, Democratisation, and many more. In addition, I teach Economics at a beginner/intermediate level.

I can also help with dissertations and essays, at the undergraduate, Master or Ph.D. level. As I supervise and mark UCL students ' dissertations throughout the year, I am able to give you the marker's perspective and help you ensure that you obtain a top mark. In addition, I am experienced in helping adult learners who want to improve their skills in Political Science or basic Economics, for professional or personal reasons.

Teaching is an activity that I deeply enjoy, and for which I have great enthusiasm. I was recently nominated for the Award for Outstanding Teaching by the UCL Students' Union. The feedback which I received from students taught in the past was very positive. In particular, I was told that my teaching had inspired students, and had made complex subjects appear simple and interesting.

My approach to teaching is results-focused. I first discuss with the student what are his/her objectives (this may be achieving top marks on a final exam, being able to undertake exercises given as homework, or increasing their understanding of certain aspects of a subject). We then devise together a work plan, to ensure that the student meets those goals.

This approach has been very successful in the past, as it is not only important to understand a certain subject, but also to be prepared for the particular type of examination or assessment that the student will need to face.

I have a Ph.D. in Political Economy from Utrecht University, a master's in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, and a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE).

I teach either in person in London (ideally at UCL), or via email exchanges for written advice. Unfortunately I do not offer online classes.

If you have genuine interest in Russian language + want to get some insights into Russian politics and find out what’s going on there behind the iron curtain, I am happy to be your guide.

We will improve both your Russian language and political awareness by reading some local newspapers and (most importantly!) listen to secret YouTube conversations between Russians and Ukrainians that are never (honestly, never..) are being translated into English.

A-Level Sociology is one of the hardest subjects to tackle at A-Level if you are not familiar with memorising an entire compilation of names and theories. I specialise in teaching Sociology and achieved an A* at A-Level with OCR Sociology. In spite of this, I can teach and adapt to other exam boards like AQA, and there is a demand for Sociology tutoring. I currently study at King's College London University, but am free during weekends to tutor.
