My vocal background includes training in musical theatre, jazz singing, gospel music, choral singing, contemporary music, and vocal coaching. Thanks to this variety of styles and techniques, lessons can be adapted for students interested in musical theatre, pop, contemporary music, jazz, or simply discovering and improving their natural voice. One of my biggest priorities is vocal health. Students will learn how their vocal instrument truly works, how to use it correctly, and how to sing safely without hurting themselves. Understanding your voice is just as important as developing it, and I make sure every exercise is done in a healthy and sustainable way. I believe every voice has potential, and every student deserves encouragement, patience, and a positive environment throughout their artistic journey. Ciar is a recent graduate of Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance; a versatile queer dance artist freelancing in London with a background in Hip-Hop, Circus Arts, Classical Ballet and Contemporary dance. I hope to offer everyone an exciting and enjoyable time whilst pushing thier physical capabilities. Dance should be fun! My class explores a choreographic style of contemporary dance with clear influences from Cunningham technique and my recent expirience working with Jason Mabana. The work will challenge your coordination, rhythm, attention to detail and demostrate a contemporary application of classical teachnical forms, but all through explorative and original material. The class is structured like any other technical class, each exercise desinged to methodicaly warm up and work the body, building on the previous exercises, before culminating in a longer choreography where we can pull everything together and just have a boogie. I can tailor the work to each student however I would reccomend having some technical expirience, classical or contemporary.

I also have fun creative writing lessons where I teach my students the different methods and techniques that will help them stand out from other writers which they can use to effectively write their dream fiction and non-fiction stories, poetry and articles. She has numerous accomplishments in piano, including recording a critically-noted CD of the Goldberg Variations, appearing live on radio and television, winning prizes at competitions, and receiving international press recognition. Mariam has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist with orchestras including the Bach-Collegium Stuttgart, the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra, and the Boston Pops, in venues ranging from Symphony Hall in Boston, Lincoln Center in New York, the Grand Philharmonic Hall in Saint Petersburg, and the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. She has performed around the world, including in Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States. As a result of a portfolio career in music, Mariam's teaching methodology reflects a holistic approach to piano performance and musicianship development. She aims to advance piano technique through music history, theory, and analysis. She also structures individualized programs to build on each student’s strengths to empower independent study through self-awareness, critical thinking, and listening comprehension.
