Since moving to Cluj four years ago, as someone born and bred in the UK, with a clear English accent, I've been told many times I'm an exotic bird in these parts so should have a go at teaching English, or at least assisting intermediate speakers with their conversation skills. I've been working as a TV documentary editor for nearly 30 years, lately largely remotely, so have a keen ear for precise language. During 2022 I engaged regularly with a group of Ukrainian refugees who desired to improve their English conversational abilities. As a trained actor in my early years, I would also be happy to help with voice projection skills, accent, speech delivery and presentation, through reading, listening and discussing ways of expression.
