Online French class with a native teacher! Own method. Technology to learn.

Online French class with a native teacher! Own method. Technology to learn.

The technology to improve your French. Classes with a certified native teacher. Hello Bonjour! I am a native French teacher and a graduate in French Philology since 2012. I have 10 years of experience in Belgium and abroad. I offer online classes using a method that I have developed over the years, specifically for online classes. *My method:* -During class we focus on speaking. Outside of class, I will send you exercises that I will correct every week (grammar, conjugation, writing...). -I use a particular technique based on questions/answers to apply the grammar when speaking. -I use the verbotonal method to correct pronunciation. -You will also receive access to an application for your Smartphone (to learn the vocabulary). -Use an interactive whiteboard. -We will use a shared online notebook to correct your exercises and ask me your questions at any time of the day. I offer preparation for official exams (DELF, DALF, TCF, EOI, FIDE in Switzerland...). Classes for beginners, intermediate or advanced levels. Preparation of conferences or talks for business people. Job interviews. The class is a bit different when I work with children or teenagers. I use interactive websites and letters. If you want a young, organized, dynamic and passionate teacher, call me or write me! See you soon, Laurie*

Maths — orientation cycle and maturity — preparation for high school, year-long support · online

Maths — orientation cycle and maturity — preparation for high school, year-long support · online

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💻 Videoconference courses, from the orientation cycle to the final year of high school. There's a phrase I hear in almost every first session: "In class I understand, but when I'm faced with the worksheet I don't know where to start." It's not a question of academic level. It's that no one has ever taught students to recognize the type of problem they're facing. One function exercise looks like another, but the method isn't the same—and until this sorting happens automatically, each exercise starts from scratch. This sorting is what I work on first, even before reviewing the lesson. 🎓 I hold a Master's degree in Operations Research (applied mathematics) and have been tutoring mathematics for 5 years. I have worked with numerous students in the Swiss system, as well as in French, Belgian, and international programs. 📚 What I cover, canton by canton The vocabulary varies from one canton to another, so let's be precise: ✏Geneva and Fribourg — orientation cycle (grades 9 to 11 HarmoS), preparation for entry into secondary school, then the four years of secondary school up to graduation ✏Vaud — pre-gymnasium and general tracks, preparation for the ECR exams, transition to gymnasium, then the three years of gymnasium ✏Neuchâtel — cycle 3, then high school ✏Valais — orientation cycle, then college Preparation for the Matura exam, all specific options 🔍 How I work 1️⃣ The first sessions are mainly aimed at assessing the level of the student in order to identify the shortcomings observed. 2️⃣ Then we make a plan to fill those gaps: number of hours of work needed, parts of the lessons to focus on, lots of training and development exercises, etc. 3️⃣ We make sure to stay in regular contact with the student's class teacher to monitor their progress and align our work with what is being taught in class. 4️⃣ Then I provide exams similar to what may be offered in class. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a monthly report to keep parents informed of their child's level throughout the course. ✨ Why this profession My favorite moment is when a student starts explaining their approach aloud without me having asked anything. It means they're no longer trying to guess what I expect—they're thinking. The rest always follows. 🗣️ Lessons in French or English. Response within the day.

English tutoring – a personalized, clear, and motivating method

English tutoring – a personalized, clear, and motivating method

As a law student at Oxford University, I understand the importance of clear explanations, critical thinking, and self-confidence in learning. I offer private tutoring in English, mathematics, and humanities in a supportive, dynamic environment tailored to each student's needs, abilities, and goals. My teaching method I am convinced that effective learning relies first and foremost on a genuine understanding of concepts, rather than simply memorizing them. My lessons are interactive, encouraging, and adapted to each student's pace, with the aim of making difficult subjects more accessible and engaging. I break down complex concepts into simple steps, use concrete examples, and encourage students to ask questions and develop their own reasoning. My goal is not only to improve their academic results, but also to help them gain confidence, independence and a love of learning. What sets me apart I am currently a law student at New College, University of Oxford, where my studies require strong analytical, writing, and reasoning skills. I also have an excellent level in mathematics, having achieved the maximum grade of A* in the GCSE Advanced Mathematics, an exam which I took a year early. I combine academic rigor with a warm and accessible teaching approach. Aware that each student learns differently, I strive to create a reassuring environment where everyone feels free to ask questions, make mistakes, and progress at their own pace.

Piano lessons, all levels. Pianist graduated from the Sibelius Academy/Helsinki and HEMU/Lausanne, currently in his second year of a Master's program at HEM/Geneva.

Starting out, resuming, progressing, preparing for a competition or exam, strengthening your practice or simply better understanding how to work: I offer support tailored to your project, in order to gradually make you autonomous in your practice. I therefore tailor the learning experience to your individual needs, preferences, tastes, and learning style, with appropriate expectations. I teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. Conceiving of the courses as a space for exploration, listening and research, I am particularly keen that this dialogue remains lively and joyful, with kindness, curiosity and above all the pleasure of playing. The repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary, while remaining open to individual suggestions. I pay close attention to my students' progress and am available between lessons when needed to support their work. I help you build and/or consolidate a solid technical foundation. Furthermore, music theory and solfège are directly integrated into practice, in order to understand what you are playing and to learn how to work with a score. I guide my students in understanding the style of the works and in the search for their own musical personalities. My Master's thesis, dedicated to metacognition, extends this reflection on how we learn and on the means of learning, particularly to optimize memorization. Many other aspects can naturally be added depending on each individual, each repertoire and each project.

Hello, I offer private guitar lessons for all levels, all ages and all styles of music. From classical guitar to electric guitar, including folk guitar. I also give bass lessons for beginners. Program - How long are the classes? My lessons are private, lasting 30, 45, or 60 minutes. We will determine the duration together based on your age and level. - At what age? You can start playing guitar from the age of 6 and there is no upper age limit! - What style of music? I teach all styles of guitar, from classical to electric guitar, including folk guitar, from classical to metal, including song and jazz. - Can we sing? If you're afraid of theory, know that music theory shouldn't be a barrier to guitar playing, because: 1. You can learn it as you progress in playing guitar. 2. You can also use tablature, which is an easier way to read music. - I want to understand everything about music! If you love theory, we can go further by exploring sight-reading and even harmony. - What should I bring with me to class? Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, just bring your guitar and your good humor, I'll take care of the rest!

“ Mouad is a fantastic teacher. He has a very professional approach to what he is doing. He knows how to work with younger students. He can quickly position student's knowledge and has the flexibility to follow the required curriculum. He also knows how to build the confidence of the student himself what is extremely important in case of students who had bad experience with the subject in the past. Mouad communicates fluently in French and English. He is always on time and well prepared for classes. He also gives feedback after the lessons. We will definately continue classes with him. My son is making good progress in Mathematics while working with Mouad. ”

He explains things clearly and helps us write well academically and speak properly. With his teaching, I know I will make real progress. I highly recommend him ”

“ 'Langmethod' French Lessons are an excellent method to learn French. Laurie is very patient and speaks French throughout the lesson, and even though I have to crack my brain sometimes to understand it, it helps in the long run. I started with 10 lessons with Laurie, and will continue to further improve my French, thanks Laurie! :) ”
