Math tutoring for secondary school and university - by master student in commercial engineeringTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Math tutoring for secondary school and university - by master student in commercial engineeringTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I help motivated secondary school students and first-year university students master math instead of becoming overwhelmed by it. As a Flemish master's student in business engineering with a strong quantitative background, I emphasize clear explanations, plenty of practice, and targeted strategies. In our classes we will: Diagnose where things are going wrong (backlog from previous years, missed theory, exam stress). Reconstruct key concepts step by step with intuitive examples. Do lots of targeted exercises together so that you learn to recognize question types and avoid classic pitfalls. Prepare efficiently for tests and exams with summaries, formula overviews, and exam-style questions. I have experience tutoring students in topics such as functions and graphs, equations and inequalities, derivatives, probability and statistics, linear algebra, and basic calculus (depending on your level). I always adapt the pace and level to the student: some benefit from a slower pace to build confidence, while others want to progress more quickly and aim for the highest scores. Lessons can be in Dutch or English, and we can work with your own coursework or with additional exercises I provide. The goal is for you to leave each lesson with more confidence, concrete insights, and a clear plan for what to practice until the next session.

Play Your Favourite Songs on Guitar - feel the joyTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Play Your Favourite Songs on Guitar - feel the joyTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Do you want to play that song you love on guitar? You have some basic command of guitar already but you need some guidance. Perhaps you're uncertain which 'key' fits you best? Perhaps you're not sure if the song can even be played suitably on guitar? Where to start? Maybe you've tried already from a book or a YouTube video but it's just not happening? But, you just love a good melody ;-) I'm a British singer/song-writer/guitarist who has played concert halls to festivals in the UK and toured Europe with my own songs. I was raised on the classics. Beatles, Kinks, Ray Charles, Hendrix, Prince etc I've 'lived music' and 'lived from' music for many years. I performed thousands of intimate gigs and the vast majority of those have been solo performances. I've performed in-front of audiences of 50,000 and audiences of just 1. I won't get too technical and I won't start scoring music. In fact my music theory is basic, and I wouldn't claim to teach it. But what I'll show you is the soul of the song. Where the rhythm lives, how the groove feels and how to interpret that in terms of guitar. I'll listen to where you're at and be able to direct you better. Playing the guitar is closely linked to 'performance' and that's especially true if you want to entertain others. Thats my strength. To make the guitar shine, to become one with the instrument suits an extension of your body. To 'play' music and feel the joy in doing that, so that it makes you feel good and anybody listening too! That's the goal. Thats the challenge. I believe I can help you with that. “Music isn’t just a pleasure, a transient satisfaction. It’s a need, a deep hunger; and when the music is right, it’s joy. A foretaste of heaven.” —Orson Scott Card

English class, IELTS 7.0 and above _ Ms. VanTranslate this text using Google Translate.

For me, learning English has never been just about improving my own skills; it has also been about finding ways to support others who are on the same journey. As someone with an IELTS experience, I have gained confidence in communication and professional working settings but I have also realized that language is most valuable when it is shared. Many people often ask me for help with IELTS preparation or general English practice, and through these experiences, I have become interested in effective methods of teaching English as a second language. From my perspective, some of the most useful approaches include the communicative method, which focuses on real-life conversation, and task-based learning, where students practice English by completing meaningful activities. I also believe in using interactive strategies such as group discussions, role-play, and peer feedback, since these allow learners to practice actively rather than passively. When I try to explain a grammar point or suggest new vocabulary, I often combine explanation with examples, which makes the learning process more practical and memorable. My long-term goal is to apply these methods to help others learn more effectively. By treating language as both a personal skill and a shared resource, I hope to connect with people’s needs, build stronger relationships, and contribute to a learning environment where everyone feels motivated and supported.
