About Me
I am a native Italian speaker studying Geography at the University of Glasgow. In my third year of university, I did an exchange at the University of Toronto.
In Glasgow, I work as an Italian tutor, teaching my language to students of different nationalities and with any kind of training. I have done online and face-to-face lessons. I also taught in Toronto and in Rome.
I also have a classic background. I studied Latin and ancient Greek for five years at the Liceo Classico (high school), learning grammar and gaining a deep understanding of classical literature and culture. I am excited to share what I know and have friendly relationships with students.
In recent years, I volunteered at a primary school (Scuola Elementary Villaggio Lamarmora, Biella, Italy) and worked as a teacher's assistant in children's theater courses at 'Opificio dell'arte' (Biella, Italy). In 2017 I volunteered on a mission in Peñas, Bolivia, teaching math to local students. During these experiences, I learned to understand the different needs of students, both young and old. I really like to help people and learn something from them!
I also enjoy studying languages: I speak Italian, English and Spanish, and I study Portuguese and French. Therefore, I understand what people may find difficult in both grammar and conversation.
