Ben is a fly casting instructor and fishing guide based between Kendal, Cumbria and Glasgow, Scotland.
Tuition offered is structured to meet your objectives. All experience levels welcome.
A range of topics are covered. You may wish to learn:
* Loop control
* Casts to use in windy conditions
* How to achieve greater accuracy
* Distance
* How to spot faults in casting such as 'tailing loops' and know the ways to cure them.
* Spey Casting

Casting Tuition
Casting is enjoyable but takes practice to master. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned angler tuition is helpful. By improving your technique you will catch more fish.
Fishing Guiding
Fishing related skills taught: Choice and set up of equipment, knots, fly selection, insect Identification, tactics, reading the water, playing and handling fish, safety. Species targeted on rivers and lakes: trout and pike.
Introduction to fly fishing course
Fly fishing is technical. This course aims to teach fly fishing in simple terms. In six sessions we will cover all of the basics, progressing to advanced skills. We will focus on casting primarily. There will be two guided fishing trips on a lake and river where I will advise on how to catch trout.
