How to identify our most common British species of trees in woodlands and Urban areas.
From 27 £ /h
Tree identification is an incredibly interesting skill to have. My main goal is to give students a clear and in depth understanding of what they see around them on a day to day basis.
This class is for people who just want to know a little more about their surroundings and be able to identify exactly what tree species is outside their windows and even just on their daily walk.
You will learn what trees are native to the UK, the differences between coniferous trees and broad-leaf trees and how to identify these to basic levels.

About Me
As recent environmental science graduate, I want to share my knowledge of trees, the environment and climate change with the world.
As we are encouraged to plant millions of trees and we are all told to conserve and save energy, I aim to show people why it is so important and let people come to their own decisions based on the facts.

As the economy struggles, we begin to ask ourselves "why should we not plant for profit and why are we not just cutting down what we have to boost the economy?". This class hopes to answer that by showing the importance of semi natural ancient woodlands in the UK and the importance of planting new woodlands for conservation and for building new habitats.
This class is for people who want a deeper understanding of why it is so important to maintain what we have in the UK in regards to natural woodlands and to understand the ethics behind woodland plantations both commercial and non commercial.
