Having 20+ years of experience, I am interested in sharing my knowledge of yoga and the benefits of Reiki (energy harmonization) with everyone. I was trained in India where I lived for several years (Iyengar, Sivananda). Iyengar's individual approach allows you to work the postures accurately using the breath, without hurting yourself, learning to listen to him. I currently practice dynamic yoga based on a series of postures by consciously breathing that allows the mind to gradually let go.

Private lessons allow you to establish a personal practice program. After a first interview, during which your motivations and needs are studied, you will leave with a personalized session to practice at home autonomously. I establish and guide a practice that will be reevaluated and intensified gradually by integrating reflexology and Reiki (energy harmonization) during each course.

Private lessons can be done at the teacher's home or in English or in French.

Enjoy a moment of well-being!

As a native of California, not only is English my native language but I also possess what many consider a neutral accent which may be of strong interest to some students. My refined command of the English language and knowledge of the US educational system have been reinforced by my elite, formal academic training at the University of California at Berkeley and Harvard University.

I first arrived in Grenoble in 2009 at the request of the French Government as an invited scientific expert specializing in France’s water pollution issues. I am fluent in French and have pedagogical experience teaching various courses at the university level.

I have always been passionate about teaching and my desire to help students with the English language stems from the fact that I grew up with non-native English-speaking parents. As a child, I had to take the initiative in mastering the English language. I became accustomed to explaining grammar at an early age and articulating myself using vivid vocabulary to convey everyday concepts. Having lived in many countries and spoken nearly nine languages over the course of my lifetime, I am also very keen on tying cultural nuances to language and examining the etymology of colloquial phrases.

I deeply understand on a personal level the challenges of learning a new language. I adapt my teaching to the student’s needs and am well versed in teaching students with a rudimentary level of English to more advanced students who wish to perfect their English to attain a native level of fluency or professional competency.

Hatha Yoga
Graduate of Agama school (training validated by the French Federation of Yoga and Yoga Alliance), I teach yoga since 2012.
It is the best known yoga, the most popular and the most practiced in France: it is the simplest method to discover and tame yoga. The goal of Hatha Yoga is to obtain greater flexibility and a good fluidity both physical and nervous. Yoga is a school of Indian philosophy practiced in India since the 3rd millennium BC
In Sanskrit it is the union (Yoga) of the energies of the body (Ha) and the spirit (Tha), the sun and the moon, yang and yin energies.
Hatha Yoga is a gentle and uncompetitive yoga method that is based on listening to oneself. It is practiced gently, slowly and in pleasure. This comprehensive and accessible discipline does not require a high level of flexibility or endurance as it adapts to the possibilities, the condition and the age of each and offers a strong potential for progression.

We will explore together physical postures (asanas), breathing practices (pranayama) and meditation.
The practice of yoga has beneficial effects in depth both physically and mentally: it can relieve various types of ailments such as hypertension, respiratory problems, digestive disorders, migraines, back pain, depression, anxiety to bring you a feeling of calm, well-being and serenity.
In the short and long term, we can expect to reduce stress (whether emotional or physical), improve flexibility, memory, concentration, find sleep and sleep quality, develop breathing capacity , better manage tensions and achieve a certain level of form and overall well-being.
The practice of Prânayama is one of the great keys of Yoga as a whole. It develops the breathing and harmonizes the influence of the nervous energy, therefore of the mind, on the body. It is particularly relaxing and revitalizing and allows an awareness of the reality of energy.
Meditation helps to develop an awareness of the present moment, which will allow the mind to release all tensions and allow itself to be immersed in an inner appeasement.
