About Me

Born in Santander, Spain, he began his violin studies at the age of 9 at the Cantabria Musical Academy. After finishing the Elementary Degree, he studied the instrument professionally at the Jesús de Monasterio Conservatory under the tutelage of Jezzabel Acha, a violin teacher. Alba has been a member of numerous orchestras as well as chamber ensembles: Julio Jaurena Orchestra, "Wood Effs Strings" Orchestra, JOSCAN, JOP, JOA, "Eclectic Quartet", "Arima Quintet", "Dúo Paganini"... playing various works of different composers and styles.
He has received master classes from internationally renowned professors such as Kyoko Yonemoto, Chris Duindam, Eva Stegman, Catalin Bucataru, Veselina Manikova, Hed Yaron Meirson, Lisa Jacobs, Ilona Sie Dhian Ho, Shirly Laub, Vicent Hepp, Eliot and others.

Since 2018, he has been studying Higher Music Studies at the CSMN, with Professor Garazi Echeandia Arrondo, where he has graduated with distinction, opting for the end-of-study award in the violin specialty.

Instead of just playing alone on the lessons, throughout pieces for two violin with the teacher's involvement (me) you can learn several musical and technical aspects of this beautiful instrument :) . I am offering lessons for all ages and level as I have various experiences. I give violin lessons (also viola) for children and adults. During the first lesson we will first get acquainted and I will explain about the posture and we will first make sound. It is important to first learn the basics well (rhythm, reading notes, posture and more), I always give nice songs and if students prefer to learn to play something that is always allowed. If the student can already play then we look together for the repertoire.
It is also important to practice regularly, you don't have to do much, 10 minutes a day works fine as long as it is regular.
I play more classical music myself, but I can of course also play modern well-known songs.

I offer violin lessons to students of all ages. My approach is based off the Vivaldi Method combined with elements of the Suzuki. I have taught violin students for the past four years in the United States with the Vivaldi Method developed by violin pedagogue Ida Bieler. I have taught pre-school (age 4-5), middle and high school students (age 11-18), and also adults. I accept students of all ages and my approach is based off the Vivaldi Method combined with elements of the Suzuki. I work with students step-by-step on technique and music together in order to build a natural and aware way of playing that is suited to the individual’s anatomy and joy of playing the violin.
