About Me

I was first introduced to chess at the age of 7 through my dad.
He taught me the basics and I have been playing chess on and off ever since.

At the onset of corona pandemic, I then started to study chess very hard. (There wasn't much else to do :) )

In the last few months, I have started teaching some friends and got some pleasure out of this to teach them new things.
Therefore, I want to reach out to some more people to teach chess and pass on my knowledge.

Chess is an amazing game I think everyone should learn. To start I will teach you how to play in a beginner friendly way by focusing less on the theory and more on tactics and rules you should follow during your game so you always have a good position. Then when you're excited about that we can move on to theory so you need less time worrying about what to play. I make my own courses and i will teach you how to use an online database so you have all the skills necessary to improve further. I specialize in teaching people on the autism spectrum.

I myself am 1700 Elo online and 1634 National Elo. I still study/practice very regularly myself, but I would like to help people who hit a “plateau” early on and are stuck at a low level. Because I have reached a reasonable level after 2 years of self-study and I am still growing, I think I can help people up to 1400 elo. Why? I want to gain experience and see if I can really help people. How? I answer your questions as best as possible and based on your games and questions we decide on which themes you should focus. Chess is extensive so the lesson can / may go in all directions equally extensively. Maybe see you soon!
