About Me
I am a woman (she/her), who grew up in a relatively small town named Næstved, located on the South of Zealand in Denmark. I moved to NL in 2018 to study at the Gerrit Rietveld Académie and finished my bachelor with honors in 22 from the specialised department Image and Language.
I am a painter by heat and have painted and made drawings since I was a child.
I had my first exhibition at 17 with a painting, but I call myself more of a multidisciplinary artist. I often work with themes and then from there it can be translated into different forms and materials.
In my practice I use my own body as a starting point, I interact with the world around me.
I am fascinated with the concept that one can create and re-create oneself through actions and so with my body make spaces into being.
In my artistic practice I see myself as a collector of a sort, a story teller documenting parts of daily life. In my work I wish to interact with the mundane and to question its existence and its structures, and then I try to approach it all with a playful attitude in order to highlight the absurdity of life.
