As the 4th most spoken language in the world, Spanish is a vital (and beautiful!) foreign language for everybody to learn. Whether you're looking to learn conversational Spanish for your upcoming holiday or preparing for an exam, I am here to assist you at the level you require.

In August of 2024, I received an A grade in A-Level Spanish, and in 2023, I won best Spanish translator for a national young adult translation competition with the University of Sheffield. I am currently studying Politics and Chinese at the University of Manchester.

I am able to assist you with your Spanish up to A-Level standard.

About Me

Hello! My name is Patrick and I am a first-year student at the University of Manchester - I am studying Politics and Mandarin Chinese. I am originally from Chester and my family still live there.

I have always been fascinated by languages and I hope to share my passion with you! At GCSE level, I studied Spanish, Chinese and Greek, receiving grades 998 respectively. At A-Level I studied Spanish, Politics, Chinese and Music, gaining AABB overall.

My interests include playing piano, spending time with my friends, listening and writing music, and of course, learning new languages.

The purpose of my classes is to make the subject a little lighter by turning learning into something more enjoyable and fun, so the student gets more motivated and puts more effort into it. I assign homework sometimes but I think that is important not to overwhelm the student.

I specialize in tutoring Spanish and Music (Clarinet) for school and adults, also SAT, GED, GRE and GMAT exams. My goal is to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed. I assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports.

This class is for those who are interested in learning Spanish and are just getting started. I studied English as a second language so I know how challenging learning a foreign language can be. My lessons will be focused on understanding how Spanish grammar works and also on its practical use in an everyday context. Moreover, my lessons will also be focused on teaching everyday expressions and vocabulary which might be culturally different from English.

On the other hand, about maths and chemistry classes, I could mainly provide classes for teenagers and children. I am currently studying in the University of Manchester and have a very high level of chemistry and maths. I think being interested in the field is needed for the students to actually learn, and I can show them both chemistry and math's applications and beauty in order to motivate them to study and learn.

I consider myself a very organized and dynamic person so my lessons will response to that personality. I do not like to offer classes and book exercises, but rather a playful and entertaining teaching that develops meaningful learning.
