Creative Writing is a subject for those with imagination, talent, and a passion for literature, film and television, poetry and so much more. Whichever pathway you wish to discover, this class will give you the necessary skills to develop and explore different styles of writing, giving you an example of industry-standard work.

This class can help you work towards English Language/Literature/Creative Writing qualifications at many different levels, hopefully inspiring you to pursue a university education or career in this field. However, if you simply wish to explore your talent in fiction writing, I can provide insight into the industry and university level education of this subject.

Whether it's primary school children on a Saturday wanting fun games and dramatic exercises building confidence and dramatic experience or professional actors preparing for a series regular, my skills are hard to match. I've designed this course to guide you as you delve into key aspects within the film world.

Academically-informed and intellectually stimulating, the course encompasses the study of quintessential arthouse films, surrealism in cinema, the intersections between psychology and film, classical horror narratives, oneiric films, and more modules that will allow you to gain valuable knowledge of cinema at an academic level.

The course has a clear structure and the activity will include online streaming of a carefully curated selection of films and clips, followed by in-depth analysis and interpretation. We will discuss underlying cinematic themes, psychoanalytical symbolism, stylistic categorisations, meta-references, the larger aesthetic value of the cinematic work, character development, feminist interpretations and critiques, and conceptual frameworks.

This course will include several 90-minutes classes; the number of classes can be adapted depending on your interests, needs, pace, and existing knowledge.

Art is a language that transcends boundaries and cinema is one of the prominent examples of art. Writing for screen starts with creative writing so we will starts from broad writing and slowly go towards the script niche.

My teaching methodology involves:
