SAT Prep by a Native Speaker and Exam Tutor (Critical Reading and Mathematics)I am a native English speaker from USA and I specialize in teaching, exam preparation, instruction and text correction for several students and professionals residing in Belgium.
Having taken the SAT myself almost 7 years ago, I am well aware of the traps college board uses to trick inexperienced test takers. I teach specific tricks and techniques to improve the student's scores in both the reading and the mathematics sections of the SAT. I instruct the student on language and the literary concepts, grammar rules, reading techniques, analyzing, pacing, and skimming for the reading section. Instruction for the mathematics section includes problem-solving and key concepts related to geometry, algebra and number operations.
With experience in 4 different cities across Europe and Asia, I take a multidimensional approach to my classes, tutoring and assisting with both Academic and Business English, to ensure that all my students are at ease during the lessons which result in faster improvements and undeniable results. The lessons cover various topics, mainly focusing on comprehension, reading techniques, writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, and day to day conversation along with accent training and basic language skills.
My former clients include students from middle school, high school, and college as well as professionals from various occupations. I have worked with them to improve their spoken and written English. I also tutor clients who want to improve their English at an academic level for exams such as the SAT, IELTS, EPSO, and TOEFL. These include high school students, college students as well as professionals, ranging from engineers to young interns at the EU parliament. I assist with exam based preparation to achieve the desired results and my clients have not been disappointed so far.

I like to make my lessons interesting, but at the same time, I make sure that they are as productive as possible. With a thorough understanding and experience of English grammar and literature, I further take care of ghostwriting, proofreading and editing of academic and professional papers. Weekly and monthly rates are possible in this case.
I have no issues meeting anywhere in Brussels, or at a location or town close to the city.

SAT, SAT Math 1, SAT Math 2, GMAT, GRE, GRE Math 1 and 2Dear students and parents,
I am an enthusiastic and hard-working multilingual (English, Russian, Turkish, Azerbaijani) Math and Statistics educator and Data Analyst with 12 years of teaching and 16 years of research experience in an international environment. Focused on an outcome-based approach to progress and deadline-oriented. I usually hear from parents, that I make their kids love math, and it makes me the happiest teacher.
First, as a Math Teacher, my main aim is to encourage students to analyze the problem carefully and find different solutions for one question. This method helps students to choose the easiest way of solution for her/him during the exam and finish it in time. I teach students both ways how to solve questions without a calculator with math tricks, and how to use a calculator more effectively. As you know in the exam there might be non-calculator and calculator papers. Moreover, this ability helps students not only to understand the math subject deeply but also will be very helpful during their adult life.
Having teaching experience (Math and Statistics) in one of the top universities in the US (UW-Madison) helped me see the path of a student from the school bench to the university auditorium. Only by working in both school and university, you can understand what is better to learn for a student to be helpful in the future university years and how to show the connection between the math SAT and math at the university level.
Years of hands-on work experience and a keen interest in Math teaching as a profession (in both school and university), as a deep understanding of the connection between school and university Math have prepared me well to see the strengths and weaknesses of the student and how to use that strong side of a student to improve the gaps that student earned in her/his earlier years. Therefore, I believe that all these experiences will help me smoothly raise the level of my students and succeed in their future lives.
Sincerely,
Leila

Results-Driven SSAT Prep, All Sections and Levels, 15+ Years ExperienceHi, I'm Natalie! For over 15 years, I’ve helped students prepare for all sections of the SSAT exam. We focus on concept review, strategy/approach, and good time management techniques so they can reach their score goals.
*Elementary Level SSAT, Middle Level SSAT, and Upper Level SSAT: I offer prep for all the test sections: Verbal, Reading, and Quantitative. With my guidance, students master analogies, build their vocabulary knowledge, sharpen their reading skills, and learn how to quickly solve math problems. We focus on strategies, time management, and any necessary concept review. I also guide them through the SSAT essay/short story section so their writing really shines and sets them apart from other applicants. Whether students invest months in their test prep or spend a few lessons with me to improve their test performance, they raise their scores and become better test takers. One of my most successful students raised his overall score by 86 points after only 6 lessons, and 2 other students scored in the 98th percentile for highly competitive schools!

SAT/SSAT/APUSH and other Test Prep Tutoring: Unique Strategies and a Systematic ApproachFor twelve years, I have helped students achieve dramatic results on standardized tests. For half of that time, I worked in China, where I learned the secrets of the top test prep companies and was later hired by them to develop new programs and test strategies. During this time, I was invited by China’s Ministry of Education as a featured guest speaker on how to design and execute innovative reading and vocabulary development strategies. My reputation grew with each student’s success, and my clientele grew to include China’s growing numbers of millionaires (and even a few billionaires) who wanted to help their children achieve success. Thanks to recent world events, I am now back in the United States, where I am president of an international tutoring company.

Public Speaking (children / adults - amateurs - professionals)Public Speaking - This course offers training in public speaking, communication, oral expression, podcast recording, and preparing a speech or lecture, a presentation, or a dissertation.
—————————
The basis of the courses is ideally divided into 5 parts. (If there is only one course, all the subjects can be mentioned but not developed.)
Rates are per person.
If there are several participants, contact me for a group rate.
—————————
ADULTS & SENIORS - Business executives, politicians or simply shy people can learn how to "dare" to speak in public, be heard, understood and regain self-confidence or professional efficiency.
COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL - 10 to 17 years old - Preparation for the grand oral brevet and baccalaureate exam through improvisation on the one hand and the requirement of declamation on the other.
For an exam, a better dialogue, to express oneself, to debate or simply to argue for the pleasure of the oratorical joust...
Students, teachers, individuals, professionals... come and discover the pleasure of public speaking, the joy of expressing your ideas clearly, the art of speaking to be better understood and goodbye to glossophobia! (More than 70% of us suffer from "glossophobia", fear of speaking in public)
Come learn public speaking. Perfect your writing of a text to be spoken. Learn the art of gesture to complement that of words and verve and brilliance will be within your reach!
CHILDREN - 7 to 10 years old - This course can help a child find a little more self-confidence and understand some of the mechanisms of speaking.
In this case, more playful techniques such as improvisation, theatre and drawing will be used...
The psychological part of this course is even more important than for adolescents and adults, because children's emotions are more difficult to manage and their attention span must be limited.
GOOD TO KNOW:
Eloquence – From the Latin eloquentia, from eloqui, to express oneself
'It is the art of speaking well, that is to say, of acting through words on an audience, of convincing them through argumentation, but also through emotion.' Alain BRUNN: former student of the École normale supérieure, agrégé of modern literature, University of Paris-III-Sorbonne nouvelle
"It is not eloquence that is born of rhetoric, but rhetoric that is born of eloquence" (Cicero -De oratore, XXXIII, 146)
