About Me
Acclaimed "Gracja z Polski" by the Tunisian Internet media, Anna is a Polish violinist specializing in solo, chamber and orchestral playing. Her violin adventure began at the age of seven, when she was inspired by the legendary Anna Sophia Mutter performing at the Krakow Philharmonic. At the age of 10, she won a competition for multi-instrumentalists in Krakow. Since then, she has performed in over 40 countries, as well as being a laureate of the XXII International Violin Competition Citta' di Barletta (Italy, 2012) returning with the second and third prize, finalist of the first Violin Competition 'Young Virtuoso' (Poland, 2013) and the International Violin Competition in Malta (2014). Winner of 2 prizes at the Polish Rising Music Stars Competition (2020), 3 prizes at the International Moscow Music Competition (2020), Poland Prestige Awards in the Violinist of the Year category (2020/21) and 1 prize at the Swiss International Music Competition (2021), Special Mention at the Clara Schumann International Music Competition (2021), 1st prize at the World Vision Music Contest in the regional round (2021). 2nd prize (1st prize not awarded) at The London International Music Competition (2022), 2nd prize at The Medici International Music Competition (2022), 2nd prize at the American Virtuoso International Music Competition organized by the American Society of Musical Excellence, Washington DC (2022) with special prize: a concert recital at Carnegie Hall, 2nd prize at the Birmingham International Music Competition (2022). You could see her both in the world's television media such as NBC 6 Miami, TVN, TVP Kultura. As one of the few, she had the pleasure of learning and collaborating as a soloist with the concertmasters of the Wiener Philharmoniker, Staatskapelle Berlin, Metropolitan Opera, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Kennedy Center Opera House.  As a chamber and orchestra musician, she received numerous invitations along with a scholarship to participate in festivals such as: World Youth Orchestra, with which she traveled around Italy, Monaco, Switzerland, Germany as a soloist and orchestra leader; Orchestra Academy in Lusławice (Krzysztof Penderecki European Center for Music); Die Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie during the Osterfestival in Bayreuth; Santander Orchestra by maestro Krzysztof Penderecki; Warsaw Autumn Festival; Miami Music Festival where she collaborated with the Wagner Institute and was concertmaster during opera fellowship; Pacific Music Festival Academy in Japan with Valery Gergiev, where she had the pleasure of working with artists from the Wiener Philharmoniker, Berliner Philharmoniker and the Metropolitan Opera; Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester where she had the pleasure of working with Vladimir Jurowski, Lorenzo Viotti and Lisa Batiashwili; Summer Academy of Music with the Scharoun Ensemble Der Berliner Philharmoniker at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Center for Music; Szczecin Classic Academy; Emanations Krzysztof Penderecki Festival; Die Internationale Musikakademie fur solosten in Buckeburg with Natalia Prishepenko and Boris Kusnezov. Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Young Poland program, the City of Krakow, Hochschule fur Music Wurzburg and The Kosciuszko Foundation. In 2014, she had the pleasure of playing as a soloist and leader of the World Youth Orchestra at the United Nations Human Rights Hall. In 2015 she was invited by the Polish Embassy as a soloist to the Festival "Les Jeunes Virtuoses" in Tunisia, performing a solo recital. In 2019, at the invitation of the Sharoun Ensemble Der Berliner Philharmoniker, she played during the lunch concert at the Berliner Philharmoniker as the leader of two chamber ensembles. In 2020, by special invitation, she played recitals as a string quartet leader and solo at "The Musical Extravaganza at Sea" with the Miami Classical Music Festival at the Brand New Celebrity Edge (Fort Lauderdale, Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands, St. Martin). In 2020, she won the competition out of 50 projects twice, organized by the Krakow Festival Office as part of the project "Partnership with Music 2.0" and "Partnership with Music 2.0: Christmas Edition", in which she was the leader of a chamber ensemble, concertmaster of a chamber orchestra and a soloist. Anna Buda has collaborated with many orchestras and musicians, also as a leader and soloist in the most famous halls, such as Berliner Philharmoniker, Vienna Musikverein, New World Center in Miami, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Santory Hall in Tokyo, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, United Nations Human Rights Hall in Geneva, Monte Carlo Opera House, Luxembourg Philharmonie, Dresden Kulturpalast, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, NOSPR in Katowice, NFM in Wrocław, ICE Congress Center in Kraków and many others. From 2021, a soloist of the second violin section at the Krakow Opera. From 2021, a student at the Hochschule fur Music Wurzburg in the violin class of Michael Szykulski. She completed her Master's studies in the violin class of Professor Mieczysław Szlezer at the Academy of Music in Krakow. In addition to her studies, she regularly trained alongside such masters as Tadeusz Gadzina, Michał Grabarczyk, Vadim Brodski, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Krzysztof Węgrzyn, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Michael Stricharz, Igor Petrushevsky, Levon Ambartsumian, Mikhail Kopelman, Gary Levinson, Andres Cardenes, Natalia Prischepenko, Friedemann Eichhorn, Larry Rachleff, Krzysztof Penderecki, Sir Neville Marriner, Rainer Küchl, Daniel Froschauer, David Chan, Jun Märkl, Valery Gergiev, Wolfram Brandl, Bartłomiej Nizioł, VascoVassilev, Chloe Kiffer, Joel Smirnoff, Claudio Bohorquez, Peter Riegelbauer, Igor Yuzefovich , Oleg Rylatko. In addition to classical music, her passion is also entertainment, film and contemporary music. In cooperation with Bass Astral x Igo, she creates the Bass Astral x Igo Orchestra with whom she played, among others, at the Opener Festival in Gdynia. She completed postgraduate studies in the field of Culture Management, receiving the title of culture manager (2019) and Cultural Diplomacy (2021) at the Jagiellonian University.
