I am here to bring out the best in each student to achieve excellence in their instrumental playing.
I give one-to-one lessons in violin. All ages and levels are welcome, whether you are preparing for an exam or you would like to play for fun.

In my class, students will learn how to play the violin with a healthy technique to avoid any muscular tension in order to play in the most natural way and increasing confidence while performing.Violin is a beautiful instrument but sometimes it can be difficultt to play, and for that reason I am here for you. With my help, you will learn how to be efficient and disciplined with your practice to achieve excellence in your playing.

I completed my Master's degree in Violin Performance in the class of ProfessorJulia Maria Kretz from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. As well, I completed my Bachelor's degree from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in England with Professor Wen Zhou Li and Oliver Wille, and my Diploma's degree from Conservatoire à rayonnement regional d’Aubervilliers in France with Professor Arlette Bonamy.

Whatever your goal is, I think the enjoyment of music and violin playing is important, and my aim is to make a warm environment for the students to learn and feel pleased with themselves during and after each lesson.

Extra information

You will need a violin, a bow and a shoulder rest for the beginning.

Instrument tuition: if you require an instrument, I can help you find one to loan or buy. Let me know your level of experience so I have an idea which music/ books to recommend.

I am a professional musician and passionate teacher.
I specialise in violin, viola & piano lessons for ABRSM exams. I have been teaching since 2012, and since 2016 I have also been teaching over Skype. My students have had many successful results for ABRSM exams, high school scholarship auditions and local music competitions. I have been teaching theory grades 1-5 for since 2018, with some students achieving distinction level results. I teach in my music studio at home, and online internationally with students in the UK, Denmark, Sweden, and the USA.

Through my high level of teaching, you child will be taught how to pass the exams to the very best of their capability, with focus on the technique of the instrument, and how to perform. I have previously taught in Hill House International School, and Hampden Gurney (London).

I have studied with many of the leading teachers in Europe and the USA. I started my education at Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music (London), where I studied with James Sleigh for five years. I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and the National Youth Strings Academy. I the studied my Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music (London), where I studied with Andriy Viytovych. I have a Masters of Music from Trinity Laban College of Music and Dance (London), studying under Roger Chase, and a Masters in Fine Art from Gothenburg University (Sweden) with Øvyor Volle (Vertavo Quartet). I also studied in the USA at the Manhattan School of Music, New York, and Chicago College of Performing Arts.

I work as a professional viola player across the UK and Scandinavia, with such orchestras as The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House (Stockholm), Bergen Philharmonic, Norwegian Radio, Gothenburg Symphony, Norrkoping Symphony, Jonkoping Sinfonietta, Aarhus Symphony, and English National Ballet Philharmonic. I am also a music arranger and transcriber.

My goal is that you come out of the lessons feeling inspired and enriched by music and of course, trying to enjoy together. There is no need to have a minimum level for the lessons, whether you are a beginner or have an advanced level for violin-viola or Music theory, my lessons will be adapted to your needs and desires to get the best out of each student. Flexible lesson times, without stress and of course having fun and pleasure in music-making!

My lessons are suitable for both beginners and experienced players. Lessons are altered individually for each student - either you want to:
- pick up a new hobby and learn the very basics of violin playing,
- brush up your long forgotten skills and learn a few new tunes,
- get advice on interpretation and specific advice on how to improve your musical expression,
- find a tutor for your child.

Recommended lesson length is 30-45 minutes for children and beginners, and 45-60 minutes to students with previous experience.

I have been playing the violin since i was 4 years old and i have a big musical background since I come from a musician family. I have experience in private violin lessons and also i worked in a private music school for 2 years. I have been teaching children from 5 years old, teenagers and adults as well. I offer 1 hour violin lessons in Stockholm for both adults and children at all levels. The lessons can be adapted and be shorter or longer according to your needs and goals. You are welcome to my home studio (Solna) or I can come to your home (but with an additional fee).
