My name is Brian, a licensed yoga instructor with 10 years of yoga teaching experience. After teaching yoga in Osaka Japan (2014-2018) and Rishikesh India (2018 ~ 2019), I moved to Kyoto and currently teach regular yoga classes there.
Yoga styles I teach include Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, & Vinyasa. I have a creative style and my classes are designed to help focus the mind, guide students towards a deeper mind & body connection, and for participants to leave feeling refreshed. I believe that yoga is a valuable tool which helps with individual growth and evolution and my goal is to help students in this direction.
Lessons are in 日本語 and English.

If you are a yoga beginner or if you have many years of practice, I can share yoga and meditation guidance. 日本語もOKです! I am easy to communicate with and I hope to meet some enthusiastic students. When the weather is nice, we can practice yoga and meditation together at a park. For example, Gosho Park in Kyoto is a great location. After contacting me I can share more details and advice.

• April 2014 / June 2016: Two Yoga Teacher Trainings. Both trainings were done at Vikasa Yoga Academy, Koh Samui, Thailand.
• Sept. 2005-April 2006: Music theory course at Concordia University.
• July 1999-April 2000: Sound engineering at Columbia Academy in Vancouver, B.C. Received certification as a Sound Engineer.
• September 1989-June 1992: Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Cultural Anthropology (Ethnology) with extra credits in English Literature and Psychology.
