Free artistic drawing workshops for children

Anyone can learn to draw! I've seen many beginners blossom and gain confidence over time :) I teach drawing and painting classes with my partner OLi in our studio in the center of Lausanne. The classes are individualized but group, which means you can start at any time of the year. You will follow a program tailored to you, while following the structure of a method created by my partner and myself, which is the fusion of our two approaches and experiences in the field. Our courses are aimed at adults, teenagers and children from 8 years old. Looking forward to meeting you!

Graduate of ECAL in ArtsVisuels, as well as the preparatory school of fine art in the city of Paris, I offer my services to learn how to do drawing observation, cultivate creativity, learn the practice of watercolor, of Indian ink. I also give volunteer drawing lessons every Wednesday afternoon for children and adults, and am therefore able to work with young and old, all levels combined. Whether for introductory courses, awakening sessions with children, or for the specific request of a project to achieve. Art is an integral part of my life and it is with pleasure that I try to share his practice. I have my own art practice next door, where I mainly do sculpture. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. In our Modern Era technology has become a pillar in our society. Art has adapted to this pillar and many of us don't know where to start. In this class you will learn the Basic in drawing digitally, how to adapt your current drawings skills into digital media. Figure drawing isn't easy; it requires precision and practice. You must learn the basics of figure drawing to grow your skills. That is why having a strong understanding and practice of your basics is incredibly difficult and important. The basics include the correct method of drawing lines and circles, tips on understanding the anatomically correct proportions of the human body, and the practice of drawing what you see. This is the most challenging aspect of figure drawing, and it requires practice to simply put what you see on paper. It might seem tedious and somewhat useless, but from my experience, it was the foundation I wish someone had taught me. These skills aren't only used for figure drawing, but also for your other drawing endeavors. The class session will entail a step-by-step program based on your performance and progress when accomplishing each skill. I will guide you through a hands-on process to master each lesson. This is meant to curate an environment where you feel accomplished and for you to make mistakes and learn from them.

This course is an in-depth look into drawing. It is intended for students with some drawing experience as a way for them to build upon existing skills, but students of all levels are welcome. We will go over line, form, and structure, beginning with contour line drawings and eventually building up to the student creating their own pieces. We will discuss figurative and non-representational works, as well as how we can utilize different methods of drawing to convey different feelings and emotions.
