Holder of a Master in Fine Arts from the University of Porto, I am passionate about drawing. With a great experience in illustration, I have collaborated in the development of several children's books and carried out numerous exhibitions in Switzerland, Portugal and Spain. Having experience teaching at different institutions, I am pleased to offer you drawing lessons in my workshop, dedicated 100% to us little artists! Drawing is not only a fun activity or a playful occupation to pass the time, but it is also essential for arousing curiosity, helping in cognitive development, motor coordination and improving fine motor coordination. The practice of drawing, whatever the age of the child, promotes the affirmation of the personality, the development of the imagination and the expression of emotions. Drawing lessons are also an interesting complement to the art education provided at school and could be an excellent opportunity to strengthen the relationship between art and the child, giving him the opportunity to develop his artistic talent and creative spirit. This class is to introduce you to the basics of acrylic painting. Whether it’s your very first time using a paint brush, or you need extra practice I will assist and teach you the basics acrylic painting. There is no rules in art only foundations. Let’s get started and make some art together!

I am an aspiring comic book designer who has spent my entire life practice and learning. As I've grown, there are three core artistic languages that have shaped how I create: - Shape Language (body shape, clothing shape, shape contrast) - Color Language (relearning color, color combination, textures in colors) - Expression (clothing choices, facial movements, positioning) I have created a 5-week workshop for each of these core artistic values. You may find that you especially want to focus on one artistic value, or are starting with a blank page and want all three. My Services: 1-off character consultation: We will discuss your pre-existing character and I will provide constructive criticism about it. We work together to brainstorm ideas and optionally, speak beyond it's visual design and into the setting they live in. Intended to be a one off or occasional feedback. With such a vast accessibility to photography, how does one distinguish the difference between a "good" photo and one that might not be memorable? How can the way a collection of photos is selected, formatted, and sequenced give meaning? In this course, students will begin by learning the basic functions of a camera, including ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. A manual film or digital camera is required for the course As the class continues, we will discuss styles of photography, notable photographers in history, and how to derive meaning from your images. Instructor will provide constructive feedback on the student's work and will direct the course based on the student's unique interests and style.

No experience required! Hello! My name is Makenna, and I have been making art and painting for almost 10 years. I started very young, and believe that all students have infinite potential to learn an art form, no matter what access they have to materials. Whatever materials you have available, will be what I use! I'm very passionate about demonstrating that its not the materials that matter, it's the artist's passion. I'm very excited to work with you! In this workshop, I can show you the basics of acrylic painting; how to mix paint, what colors to use, how to use a reference. I can help you work towards completing a finished piece to be proud of. Be prepared to possibly get messy and have fun! If you decide we're a good match, and want to continue working with me, we will expand on these concepts and work on curating a list of goals you'd like to achieve. By the end of our time together, however many sessions that may be (I can work with you to create a plan based on a desired amount of sessions), I hope to have helped you achieve all of your goals in painting and improve your confidence within the medium!
