In person Chess for beginners and children (Ages 7 and up).
From 35 £ /h
I specialize in making chess accessible for children by breaking down complex strategic concepts into fun, manageable lessons that build critical thinking skills. Whether your child is a complete beginner learning the piece movements or an intermediate player looking to improve their tactics, I provide a structured, safe, and engaging environment for them to grow. I am fully DBS checked and offer flexible after-school and weekend sessions tailored to each student's individual learning pace.
I am the current President of the Chess Society at my University and an experienced player who has been competing and studying the game since my own primary school years. Outside of my university studies, I work professionally as a teacher at a performing arts school where I am responsible for the education and safety of students aged 6–18.
My teaching approach is highly inclusive and patient, backed by a TQUK Level 2 qualification in Understanding Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and an Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) certification.
Feel free to get in touch with any questions!
