Spanish Instructor for the International Relations

This training day is for anyone (minimum HAVO/HBO) who wants to refresh their knowledge of Dutch spelling. All difficult matters such as all/all, their/them, that/what, the correct spelling of compounds as well as a short repetition of the verb spelling are discussed. At the end of this day you will be fully aware of the spelling rules of Dutch and you can communicate in writing with peace of mind, both privately and at work. The day is fully arranged (including unlimited coffee/tea, water and soft drinks, in the afternoon a delicious lunch) and specific teaching materials. The course takes place in a prime location, within walking distance of Leiden Central Station, in a small group of a minimum of four to a maximum of ten people. Due to the small group you receive personal guidance and there is room for questions and a lot of practice. The course takes place with a minimum of four and a maximum of ten students. From 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., date in consultation.

In the EU, many of us communicate verbally and in writing using English, although it may not be our native language. With this class I can practice speaking English with you for formal presentations, school or work assignments, etc. or help you work on your grammar, diction, and syntax in English writing. I was born and raised in Canada, therefore am a native English speaker, and also have a Bachelor of Medical Science, so I can also help with technical and scientific language.

I give French lessons for beginners and intermediate levels. The courses can consist, according to the needs of the student, of communication and oral techniques, pronunciation or writing. I have an efficient and easy method to help students do their exercises and excel in their classes. Just be serious when learning, and in turn I am your faithful support to succeed in this task. I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

I have a PhD in English Language. During the course of my education, I had observed that some students failed because they couldn't conquer their fears.
