The main focus of this class is to learn how to communicate with a person who knows Turkish (possibly a native speaker) and understand an article or a news. Furthermore, it provides you to exercise your Turkish by speaking with a native speaker. If you are an absolute beginner, don't worry, I would choose a person who doesn't know Turkish at all as my student.

About Me

I'm a philosophy student at KU Leuven. I am very happy when I talk in Turkish with a person who is not a native speaker from Turkey. It is really nice to teach on the bridge which connects us with our world, which is nothing other than our own language.

Education

I am a undergraduate philosophy student at KU Leuven. I will continue to study at KU Leuven as a master student for next year. Teaching is also a nice chance for me to experience the learning process.

Turkish lessons for any level of students from the very beginner to advanced level students. I, as a native speaker of Turkish, have a master degree on teaching and currently living in Leuven. Upon agreement, we can organize the lessons in other cities like Brussels as well.

I am a native Turkish speaker born and raised in Turkey. I am open to adapt my teaching methods according to your needs. We can use a classical method or more ludic methdos (combining it with dance or cooking). The level is not of importance.

The focus of my tuitions is to instil the necessary confidence in the student to embrace a new language and to master the little tactics of learning. I have a variety of materials to make sure that my student(s) do not get overwhelmed, but instead feel motivated to learn more. Depending upon the personality and wants of my student, I may assign written homework and/or other stimulating stuff like videos to make sure the student is having a continuous and sustainable progress.
I was also an Intercollege Chess Champion back in my country, Mauritius, hence, I can give you various techniques and strategies to foresee the moves of your opponents, calculate and plan everything in your head before acting (so as to prevent your rival from getting any hint of your motives) and brain exercises to improve your logic and memory simultaneously as these two areas of the brain are the two main determinants of how fierce and successful a chess player you would be.
As for the translation works, I specialise in the translation of any work ranging from research articles to simple homework. I have translated various documents in the following languages: English, French and Turkish.
