Welcome to Yuto's Japanese language class in Lisbon!

In this course, you will learn how to speak, read and write Japanese, one of the most fascinating and unique languages in the world. My class is tailored to meet your individual needs and language level, whether you are a beginner or already have some knowledge of Japanese.

I am going to guide you through the basics of Japanese pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, as well as help you to develop your listening and conversation skills. You will also have the opportunity to learn about Japanese culture and customs, which will enrich your language-learning experience.

The course materials will be provided, and they include authentic Japanese learning resources such as textbooks, audiovisual aids, and exercises. The class will be conducted in English, so even if you have no prior knowledge of Japanese, you can still learn the language with ease. (I am still learning Portuguese, I will try to teach in Portuguese if you need:))

My name is Yuto from Tokyo, Japan! I live in Lisbon for now!

I can provide online and face-to-face classes (if you are in Lisbon).
Also, as for the materials, I can consult with you if you have specific needs and decide which materials we will use in the lesson!

Education

My home university is Akita International University, and I am on the curriculum for Bachelor in Global Studies.
Currently, I am studying at the Universidade Catolica Portuguesa as an exchange student until 2024 January.

Experience / Qualifications

I have experience teaching Japanese language in an informal setting, primarily to exchange students from overseas. Although I have no formal teaching credentials, I have found joy and fulfillment in sharing my language and culture with others. In my role as a teacher, I focused on providing a comfortable and engaging learning environment where students could develop their language skills through conversation, vocabulary-building exercises, and cultural immersion. I found that by incorporating elements of Japanese culture into my lessons, such as traditional food, music, and art, I was able to not only teach the language but also provide a deeper understanding and appreciation of the culture. It was rewarding to see my students progress in their language abilities and gain confidence in their communication skills. Overall, my experience teaching Japanese language has been a fulfilling and enriching journey, and I look forward to continuing to share my knowledge with others.
