About Me

I am a linguist with the belief that languages are often taught badly in the school system. I think that the most effective way to learn a language is to have a passion that reminds you why you are learning all that grammar! I teach with an open mind and a genuine interest in helping my students learn as well as find what they like about the language.

Nowadays, languages have become an important thing in the society and an added value in the work field. In my classes, I'll try to teach them the basics of each language by focusing on grammar ( english tenses , prepositions of time and place.... )and vocabulary. In addition, I'm going to assign the students with homework ( reading and writing ) so that the learning process can goes smoothly.

Languages are becoming more and more essential to solidify a good understanding and communication of this world’s constant change. Therefore, Spanish, being one of the most popular language, becomes an important tool. In order to speak it, the class is composed by grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking. Depending on the time and frequency, the student will be be able to articulate thoughts and write them.
It is vital that the language is spoken, hence, depending on the student’s level, the class will be provided in Spanish and English (swapping when necessary).

They are focused on the four key areas of foreign language study: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

The primary purpose of the course is to prepare students to be college-ready, well-rounded global citizens who can communicate effectively in Spanish and are aware of the cultural influences of the Spanish and Latino heritage at home and abroad.

I have been teaching Spanish to GCSE and A-Level students and adults since graduating from the University of Cambridge in 2012 with a degree (BA and MA [Hons]) in Modern Languages. Spanish is the second or third most spoken language in the world, and speaking a second or third language makes the difference everywhere. School, jobs, life...

As a qualified teacher, I can say that having a language and getting a good mark in the GCSE for Spanish is easily achievable with a little bit of work and an open mind.

My lessons are very flexible, focused on active learning. You only learn if you do, if you make mistakes.
I do not like to talk hours not stop about grammar, or how Spanish derived from Latin... That is boring and useless, what I like is hearing you, and speaking with you.

I have experience both working with adult and young adults.
I work with the International House in London, as part of my certification as Spanish teacher for adults, teaching online a group of 10 to 15 adults online.
