My name is Serdane and I offer Dutch lessons to secondary school students and adults who find it difficult to develop a way of working that suits them. Extroverted and bubbly...and above all, a lot of humor!

Everyone learns in their own way. Some people learn languages intuitively by engaging in conversations. Others need rigorous exposure to grammatical concepts before launching into practice...in short, there are as many ways to learn as there are students! This is why I do not adopt a rigid method, but rather I adapt to the specificities of each student. I assess their level, their strengths, their possible weaknesses or delays, and I adjust my course accordingly. My priority is to give confidence to the student: Dutch is accessible to everyone when it is taught well!

I believe in the effectiveness of active teaching methods: I encourage student participation as much as possible, guiding them to discover what works best for them. This ultimately allows him to continue his learning independently.

My areas of expertise:
- Enhancement
- catching up
- Grammar reviews
- Conversation course
- Work method (organization, schedule of revisions, etc.)
- Support for beginners

My price includes complete academic support (private lessons, possibility of asking questions outside of class hours, assistance with writing and correcting questions, etc.). If necessary, I provide specific help for the preparation of questions or exams in more complex subjects.

I produce all of my course materials for each student. So there is no need for you to buy a learning book. However, if you are already working from a book, it is entirely possible for me to adapt to it.

Native French speaker, I've followed in Dutch education till my master that I finished in French. Therefore, I am a perfect bilingual.

The first objective is to learn / review the basics of Dutch with the student, grammar, and a precise vocabulary.
Depending on the objectives set by the student, I can prepare appropriate lessons / materials for the courses.

Are you a student, working or living in the Netherlands and do you want to take classes to learn the Dutch language? I am a patient, social and open minded tutor with a good capacity to empathize.
Through my 10 years of experience in teaching the Dutch language I am specialized in identifying the most effective learning approach for each individual student.

Over the years I’ve learned that every student is different, and each student has their own style and pace. I’m a versatile tutor who adapts to every possible approach including: grammar classes, conversational classes, writing classes, reading classes and interactive classes.

The method that is the most efficient for the majority of the students is an introduction to grammar in combination with conversational practice. Through a diagnostic test I can identify the which part of the grammar my students are the most struggling with in order to provide efficient and targeted classes.

Don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any further questions.

Graduated in Germanic languages, trilingual Dutch-German-French, I help you progress whatever your level. Only practice counts!

During a first meeting, I analyze your level, your needs and we determine your objectives together.
Following this, I adapt the lessons with as many scenarios and comprehension exercises as possible.

My language lessons are always tailored to the student. I provide interaction, the pupil will be encouraged from the start to experiment with the Dutch language, always within the pupil's own perception of the world, so that what is learned is placed in a personal context and automatically supplemented with elements that are specific to the pupil.
I have a number of fine methodologies at my disposal, but I also work with ease with material that the pupil has brought from school or from home, or else will select material to measure.
I have been teaching Dutch as a second language for 20 years and have a master's degree in education with a specialization in learning disabilities.

I’m a passionate Dutch language trainer and certified coach who helps adults improve their communication skills in a professional context. Since 2014, I have been teaching Dutch to employees, managers and university staff in Brussels and beyond — always with a focus on clarity, confidence and authenticity.

My lessons are interactive, tailored to each learner’s goals and filled with real-life situations such as meetings, emails, small talk and presentations. As a coach, I integrate tools that build self-awareness and motivation, helping learners overcome fear or hesitation when speaking a new language.

I believe that learning a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary — it’s about expressing who you are. That’s why I combine language training with coaching techniques to create a safe and positive learning environment where progress happens naturally.

I offer Dutch lessons based on an interactive approach.

I adapt to each student's needs to address any gaps in their knowledge while building their confidence. The focus is on understanding and expressing a language (structures, vocabulary), which allows for lasting progress.

I work in a supportive and structured environment where students can express themselves freely and progress at their own pace. My goal is also to help them gradually become independent in their learning.

Who are the courses for?

Secondary school students (all levels)
Difficulties with Dutch (vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, speaking, listening)
Preparation for tests and the CE1D
Students needing to regain confidence or consolidate their foundations

The lessons are tailored to the student(s): adapted to age, focused on your profession, or as preparation for a language exam...

Depending on the student's level, the objectives to be achieved, but also their strengths and weaknesses, we establish a working method together.
Most often, the lesson focuses on identifying and clarifying grammar points that need review (inversion, enjambment, tenses, agreement, Dutch syntax, etc.), and on practice exercises. I also frequently assign small homework assignments for the following lesson, as language learning requires consistent effort.
If possible, we end the lesson with a short conversation on the topic of the day.
