A committed and dynamic artist offers original private lessons to guide your artistic projects.
All levels are welcome, and multiple practices are encouraged: from drawing to painting, from engraving to bookbinding, through writing or sculpture. These multiple languages will allow you to give what you wish to express the ideal form and depth for its realization.

I am a graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, as well as of the Book School Estienne - both in Paris - and I have been practicing my art in parallel to teaching it for 6 years now, between Paris, Basel and Strasbourg.

Techniques and mediums (non exhaustive list): Drawing, painting (acrylic, gouache, watercolor), etching on zinc, copper or Plexiglas, linocut, monotype, sculpture, fanzine, bookbinding, folding, collage...

About Me

As a multi-faceted and committed artist, I have always considered my artistic practice in parallel with teaching and transmission.
I have been teaching printmaking, poster design, experimental publishing, fanzine and drawing to international students - beginners and advanced - for the past 5 years, in French and English. Based between Strasbourg and Basel, I am available for private lessons on site or at a distance to accompany you in your artistic projects.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Nice to meet you, I'm Daniel. I'm a (private) art teacher, I'm also a freelance artist and have been working as one for about 7 years. I'm looking for students in Utrecht, I have a teaching space available in my apartment (I can share my address when you contact me), but am also able to travel to your desired space within the city.
I can also teach via webcam, but I do recommend my in-person classes, seeing as they're more immersive and educational.

I unfortunately do not speak Dutch (yet), but am confident we can overcome any potential language barrier we come across.

I have the most experience in teaching teenagers and preteens, so I think we would definitely be a good match if you're a parent or guardian looking for a teacher for your child.

Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine?

Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters?

If you have those concerns, I would love to help you.

I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels.

I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story.

I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French.

I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.

I teach digital painting with a focus on clarity, structure, and outcome.
