I am a native American English speaking instructor, editor, and journalist from Florida specializing in editing, the drafting of articles, text correction, and proofreading for a wide range of professionals & students across Belgium and Europe. I have written, ghostwritten, edited, or proofread a variety of articles, academic papers, theses, applications, CVs, and other documents for numerous satisfied academic and professional clients. My main background is primarily political/policy based, with a career writing on Anti-Competition actions and law (for PaRR-Global), but in my career and profession I have dealt with a far-range of subject matters including the Medical, Academic, Financial, Scientific, and Political fields. My past & present clients have included: professionals from all four major EU institutions, the Belgian government, the UNHCR various NGOs, authors, novelists, journalists, engineers, as well as a variety of other professions in addition to traditional students. My childhood is inextricably linked to the power of stories. The books I devoured, their plots, and characters deeply shaped who I am. This passion followed me to the University of British Columbia, where I majored in Sociology and Creative Writing. While a subsequent career in marketing (both in Canada and Karachi) provided valuable experience, I always felt a yearning for deeper fulfillment. My foray into film production ignited this passion, confirming my true calling as a storyteller and creative. However, it was when I began working with children that I truly found my joy. Guiding young minds, fostering their unique voices, and equipping them with the tools for confident expression – this is my true prerogative.My teaching philosophy centers on cultivating the intangible: a love for creation, expression, and the pursuit of knowledge. I specialize in Personalized Learning Plans, Engaging Activities, Strong Foundational Skills, Confidence Building, Personalized Attention: I am passionate about helping children discover the magic of language and unleash their inner creativity.

I am eager to help young people feel confident when writing sociology essays. I will place an emphasis on deconstructing the questions students are given by encouraging them to reword the question to offer a different perspective on it. In addition, the main aim of a sociology essay is to convince the reader more and more of the argument you have claimed in the introduction. I want to help students do this by helping them follow the PEAL structure, i.e. Point, Evidence, Analysis, Link back to question. I have found this a very effective and coherent way of structuring an essay. I have studied Sociology for 7 years now, at AS/A Level, Undergraduate Level and now at MSc level at LSE. I was awarded First-Class Honours in my undergraduate as well as 'Best Dissertation of the year' by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. I am seeking a potential career in academia so I truly feel passionate about engaging with the lesson plans on this platform and helping students feel confident in their essay writing.

During the sessions, you are guided in your writing project. The trainer accompanies you and teaches you the preparation method, gives you writing tools and helps you work on your style and your imagination. The objective is multiple, including a reflection on one's own literary path, an introduction to the basic tools of style work and exercises on description. I am here to help inspire new and emerging writers by guiding you through the basics of writing, facilitating a deepened enjoyment and understanding of the power of words, and, importantly, supporting you to have confidence in your unique voice. These interactive, informal, and supportive online classes are aimed at students of any age (above 7 years) who wish to write poetry, short stories, or creative prose (such as life writing). This includes beginners who are keen to learn basic writing skills, and those with some experience wishing to develop their practice and learn more, including students of English and creative writing at school, college or outside of formal education. Although we will touch on key grammatical terms, the focus will be on your creative expression through the written word. In these classes, which will be tailored according to age, experience, needs, and areas of interest, students will learn the basics of writing short stories, including flash fiction; poetry, including free verse and traditional forms such as Haiku and sonnets; and creative prose, including life writing or short creative essays. You can attend as many classes as you like, and together, we will build your skills and understanding of creative writing, including identifying the stories you want to tell. The classes will be a mix of presentation, 'warm-up' writing activities, discussion, reading and analysing key texts, main writing activities, and redrafting, editing and proof-reading your work. For those wishing to get published, there will be additional optional support available, such as detailed editing and mentoring advice, as well as hints and tips on developing as a writer. Bring what you need to me, and we will shape the classes together! I hold a recent DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, and parents or guardians of students under 18 years of age are welcome to meet the tutor first, and/or sit in on the classes.
