Essay writing, whether it's a short story, personal essay, or critical essay on a text, can be very daunting. Over the last six years, I have helped and tutored many students toward enhancing their creative and critical essay writing skills in a school setting.
I specialise in teaching primary and secondary school students how to write creatively for school and for fun. However, I also have years of experience with regard to teaching how to write critical essays on all kinds of texts.
After each lesson, I assign homework and I also provide progress reports. These reports will help identify areas for improvement.
My goal is to help students overcome their fear of essay writing by making their learning contextual and fun so that they can recognise essays as an essential and enjoyable part of their academic development.
