Turn abstract Edexcel IAL Law rules into clear, exam-ready arguments with a practicing lawyer who bridges common and civil law.

From 21 £ /h

Hello! I’m a law tutor who specialises in Edexcel International A-Level Law — and my goal is to help you truly understand the subject, not just pass the exam. To do that, I bring more than a textbook: I’m also a practicing lawyer with experience in courts, consulting, and private client work. During my studies, I have also taken part in international law competitions, academic conferences, and published legal articles. I often draw on real cases and examples from my own legal practice, so abstract rules become concrete and memorable. At the same time, I’m completing my law degree at a leading Russian university, which keeps me closely connected to modern academic standards and exam expectations.

What I bring to our lessons is the ability to show how legal rules work in real life. I’ve worked in courts and advised businesses, and I use those experiences to make Edexcel topics like negligence, contract formation, or human rights feel tangible rather than abstract.

A big advantage of my background is that I’m equally comfortable in both the Romano-Germanic (continental) legal tradition — including its public law and private law dimensions — and the common law system. I know from experience how confusing it can be to switch between these two ways of thinking, and I help students build bridges between them. For Edexcel IAL, which is rooted in English common law but studied by students from all over the world, this dual perspective is incredibly valuable. I can explain not just what the law is, but why it developed that way and how it compares to other legal families.

How I Teach
My lessons are structured around the Edexcel specification, but I adapt them to each student’s level and goals. We work on:
• Solving problem questions using clear legal reasoning (IRAC and beyond);
• Writing high-scoring essays that actually answer the question;
• Evaluation skills — the difference between a B and an A*;
• Exam technique and time management under pressure.

I don’t believe in endless memorization. I want you to understand the logic of the law, so you can apply it to any scenario the exam throws at you.

Extra information

I mainly tutor A-Level students preparing for Edexcel IAL Law. But I also help with:
• Academic legal writing and legal English;
• Students transitioning from civil law to common law (or vice versa);
• Coursework and mock exam feedback.
Whether you’re aiming for a top UK university or just want to finally understand what “duty of care” really means, I’m here to help.

You may send me a message to tell me about your current level and target grade. In our first session, I’ll look at a piece of your writing, identify where you’re losing marks, and give you a clear plan to improve. No generic advice — just specific, practical next steps.

I am a trained French teacher with a degree in linguistics. I have been teaching since 2012 and I support candidates in improving their French and preparing for official exams.

The preparation is fully tailored to your level, the date of your exam and the skills you need to strengthen.

We are working on the different challenges:
- listening comprehension;
- understanding of written texts;
- written production;
- oral production.

The goal is not only to improve your French, but also to understand what examiners expect and to learn how to respond effectively to exam instructions.

Depending on your needs, we can work on methodology, organization of ideas, argumentation, grammar, vocabulary, time management and correction of written or oral productions.

Exercises and practice topics may be offered between lessons to track your progress and identify areas that require more work.

As the exam approaches, we can also carry out simulations under conditions close to the real test, particularly for oral production.

Before we begin, simply tell me the diploma and level you are preparing for, the scheduled date of the exam, and the difficulties you wish to work on as a priority.

My goal is to restore confidence, explain things differently when necessary, and turn challenges into real successes. I primarily prepare students for the CE1D exam. First, we work together on each skill assessed during this test. Then, I support the student in putting all of these skills into practice so they can approach the exam in its entirety with confidence and method.

Preparing for your IGCSE Chemistry or Physics exam and not sure where to start?
I can help you review important concepts, strengthen your problem-solving skills, and develop effective exam techniques so you can approach your exams with greater confidence.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education major in Physical Science and several years of teaching and tutoring experience in Chemistry, Physics, and General Science. I have experience helping students understand challenging scientific concepts and prepare for assessments and examinations.

Our lessons can focus on:
• Reviewing difficult Chemistry and Physics topics
• Identifying and improving weak areas
• Solving IGCSE-style examination questions
• Learning how to approach calculation problems step by step
• Understanding scientific terms, principles, and formulas
• Practicing multiple-choice and structured questions
• Reviewing common mistakes and misconceptions
• Developing exam strategies and time-management skills
• Preparing for school tests, mock examinations, and final exams

Chemistry topics may include atomic structure, bonding, the periodic table, chemical equations, stoichiometry, acids and bases, rates of reaction, energy changes, organic chemistry, and other topics according to your syllabus.

Physics topics may include forces and motion, energy, electricity, waves, thermal physics, light, magnetism, and other areas covered by your syllabus.

My teaching approach is structured, patient, and personalized. Rather than simply memorizing answers, I help you understand the concepts and learn how to apply them to unfamiliar questions. For calculations, we will practice identifying the information given, selecting the correct formula, showing the necessary working, and checking the final answer.

I can also create personalized practice questions and review exercises based on the areas you find most challenging. We can adjust each lesson according to your upcoming examination, current level, and specific syllabus requirements.

Whether you are starting your revision early or have an exam coming up soon, we can create a focused study plan and work through your most important topics together. My goal is to help you feel prepared, confident, and capable of tackling your examination independently.
