About Me
My name is Jeandré and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I have worked as an English teacher for over five years and was a Drama, Musical Theatre, and Photoshop teacher. I have taught over 10,000 students in three different countries, with students ranging from the ages of 3 to 22, all coming from Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, and Russia. My career started in China, then South Korea, and for the past three years teaching English and Drama in South Africa and online and also indulging in educational content creation.I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts and Film Studies degree in 2014 at the University of Pretoria and soon after, I completed my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English for Adults) course at IH Language Lab. I also coordinated the island programs, creating curriculums and educational content for lessons. In the main program, I taught English to over 1500 new students weekly over a two-year period, where I taught multiple subjects with a focus on English and engaged in practices that enhanced their learning experiences. When I returned to South Africa, I was offered a substitute Dramatic Arts High School teacher position at FH Odendaal for Grade 10 to 12. Afterward, I entered an online teaching and content creation journey where I taught English online for the past three years at Whales English and other online teaching companies, teaching students from the ages of 3 to 14. Simultaneously, I started a job as an Educational Content Creator at Bla Bla Edu Tech.
I have a fast understanding of all different subjects, students' ages, cultures, religions, educational backgrounds, families, and influences with a deeper appeal to be an all-rounded teacher by being influential in multiple facets through my teachings, my art, life lessons, my empathy and understanding for students. I'm an exceptionally fast learner with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and teaching and empowering others by utilizing my skills and experiences to enhance their experiences to the best degree.

(Digital) Art classes for art lovers and beginners.Do you want to learn the basics of drawing? Or are you already past that level? Do you want to draw on paper (with pencils) or on a screen? Do you want to learn the basics of 2D animation? All for a very reasonable price? We can do it!
Nice to meet you, I'm Daniel. I'm a (private) art teacher, I'm also a freelance artist and have been working as one for about 7 years. I'm looking for students in Utrecht, I have a teaching space available in my apartment (I can share my address when you contact me), but am also able to travel to your desired space within the city.
I can also teach via webcam, but I do recommend my in-person classes, seeing as they're more immersive and educational.
I unfortunately do not speak Dutch (yet), but am confident we can overcome any potential language barrier we come across.
I have the most experience in teaching teenagers and preteens, so I think we would definitely be a good match if you're a parent or guardian looking for a teacher for your child.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Creation of animated characters, storytelling and IllustrationWould you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine?
Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters?
If you have those concerns, I would love to help you.
I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels.
I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story.
I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French.
I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.

Photography Tutorials: Contemporary Image-Making and Experimental StorytellingThis online photography course is designed for anyone looking to build a more thoughtful, intentional approach to image-making. Whether you're starting out or refining your practice, the class focuses on photography as both a technical craft and a form of personal or documentary expression.
You'll be encouraged to develop your own visual language through a mix of technical guidance, creative exercises, and reflective assignments.
The course is designed to be accessible, supportive, and grounded in curiosity rather than perfectionism. You can work with any camera you have access to, including smartphones.
Ideal for artists, students, and anyone interested in using photography to explore the world around them with more clarity and intention.
I bring over 10 years photographic experience to the table, with both a BA (HONS) from UAL and MA degree in photography from the Royal College of Art. I am also happy to help with art school applications and crafting artist statements, regardless of artistic medium. I am particularly interested in engaging with people who work with writing and prose in their practice, or who are looking/seeking to incorporate this into their photography projects.
