About Me
I enjoy a varied career working in highly competitive markets, being a noted specialist on organisational dimensions of leadership and change and lending my skills working for a large charity as a monitoring and evaluation specialist on global grant projects. I am also a mom to two children and one of my missions is to focus on their development needs to better prepare them for the world of work.
I have been teaching in universities and as an international corporate trainer for several years. Teaching is a passion and I derive a lot of joy from being able to add value to my students personal or professional development. I have taught students from around the world and adjust my teaching style for students to derive the maximum benefit from their lessons with sessions focusing on relevance to the student rather than just offering a generic style.
There is no one size fits all, each student is unique and I look forward to working with them to bring their individual talents to forefront. Teaching is a calling for me, the highlight of my teaching career has not been the nominations for best lecturer by student bodies or recognition of my digital content by peers, it is the one year I had a visually impaired student in my Project Management class that required a lot of network drawing of diagrams, which he could not do being completely blind but I managed to figure out a way the student could get the same answers using a database that he had on his specialist software so he didn't need to draw. This student was able to fully partake in this final year bachelors module and pass the exams. This is very much aligned to my research interests which lie principally in the area of innovation and change management to improve effectiveness and explore evidence-based solutions.
