UCAS Personal Statement and CV Mentoring: Online Class

In this online class, I offer one-to-one support with writing, editing, and submitting a successful UCAS application. Having been through the UCAS application process myself only five years ago, I fully understand how complex and stressful it can be. As a student at the University of Nottingham, I also have a direct insight into what lecturers and admissions staff look for in a prospective Russel Group student.

From my own UCAS application, I gained one unconditional offer and three conditional offers. What's more, I have just completed a one-year Erasmus internship in Munich, which required me to edit CVs in English and German at a professional level. German Conversation, Grammar, Writing, and Reading: Online Class

This class is for anyone who needs additional support with learning German. I do not follow a specific teaching curriculum because I prefer to tailor my focus to my student's weaker areas. We can focus on grammar, conversation, writing, and reading. I have multiple text book resources and grammar exercises which I can send electronically for you to complete, which I will then mark out of lesson time.

I have a deep-rooted passion for learning languages. In addition to studying German as part of my BA degree at the University of Nottingham, I have just returned from a one-year Erasmus internship in Munich, where I worked full-time in a German-speaking office.

Together we identify the relevant elements that guarantee you a CV that attracts attention and guarantees that you will be invited to a job interview.

During the rehearsal of a job interview, we prepare the answers to give, the aspects not to say. I work on both the verbal and the nonverbal aspects. If desired, a video can be recorded and analyzed together.

Adapted to each case and need, the objective is support in accessing a job, from the search for departure to the signing of the contract:
- After the search and selection of relevant advertisements, establish and illustrate your transversal skills profile then create an attractive CV and write a striking cover letter highlighting your professional background
- stand out in the preparation of their interviews, from oral presentation to expression through appropriate body language. Interview simulation & video analysis filmed if necessary.
- Identify your values, promote your professional project / your assets and strengths but also work on areas for improvement in order to find new momentum in your career.

Note that during the videoconference session, all the notes are transcribed in the chat so that you can access them at any time when you wish.

Statistically, the progression following these private sessions is quickly noticeable, from 2 sessions. (study 2020)

But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of direct (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (example: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (example: chat notes that can be read later).
In this context, these videoconference sessions for which you have requested me, seem to suit everyone perfectly, take place in a very optimal way and generate a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm).
