Why learn Chinese with a non-native (but professional) speaker? Having learned Chinese as a non-native speaker myself, I understand the difficulties and challenges involved, and I can explain the whys and wherefores without ever having to confront you with a "well, I don't know, it's said this way"...
With extensive experience in private tutoring and a master's degree in English-Chinese translation, I spent seven months in Taiwan and currently live in mainland China (Wuhan), where I am pursuing doctoral studies in Chinese, focusing on learning Chinese in a fun and engaging way. Thanks to my parents' passion for Chinese (my mother is a professional translator and Chinese teacher), I had the opportunity to explore China several times from a very young age, and, at the same time, to refine my language skills each year.
