Mastering Financial Markets: Behavioral Finance Insights
From 45.55 £ /h
Mark Twain famously said: “It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so."
This famous quote shines light on to the fact how important it is to make sure your own beliefs do not take you to a road where you become overly confident about them. We are human beings, we all have behavioral (and many other types of ) biases. The first step is making ourselves aware of these tendencies in order to become better decision makers not only when it comes to financial markets and investments but in general as well.
Gain insights into how markets and market players tend to interpret and react to information, and more importantly, into the widely prevailing behavioral biases that result in bad decision making when it comes to investments or management decisions. Beyond the theoretical concepts, we are going to go thorugh real world examples to demonstrate the impact of the behavioral biases.
COURSE OVERVIEW
1) Information & Markets
2) Rational Investors & CAPM
3) Market Efficiency
4) Market Inefficiency
5) Risk Aversion vs. Loss Aversion
6) Games
7) Biases & Market Anomalies
8) Corporate Management

About Me
Dear Prospective Students,
My name is Adam, I am 25 years old, I currently live in Vienna, and I am working as an investment banker.
I firmly believe in the transformative power of education. That is why beyond my career in finance, I am dedicated to making a meaningful impact and adding value to society by sharing the knowledge I had the privilege to accumulate over the years during my studies and work experiences.
I have a Master's Degree from HEC Paris' Master in International Finance Program, recognized as the #1 Finance Master's globally for over 10 years now, and before that I obtained my Bachelor's from two universities in Budapest and Dublin.
Over the past seven years, I have developed a deep passion for the financial markets, driven by a curiosity to understand the complexities of our world, and how that relates to financial markets and products. My goal is to ignite this same enthusiasm in others - so whether you are seeking to deepen your market knowledge or just to simply understand specific financial concepts better, I think you have come to the right place.
A bit more about myself:
I used to be a professional tennis player until the age of 18, but then I decided to pursue higher education as I thought that would be a safer and more suitable choice. However, up until this day, it's a big part of my life, a hobby and passion I will never let go of. Apart from tennis, I enjoy my runs to switch off, I lately started to develop some interest in art, and I love to cook as well.
I would describe myself as a very easy-going person, I am also very curious about others, and my friends would probably describe me as someone who is friendly, trustworthy, and definitely someone who likes to talk, and explain things.
So, that's about me, if you think I would be the right fit for you, and you are interested or need help in the areas of my courses, please reach out, and let me help you unlock your potential in the fascinating world of finance.
I hope to see you in class very soon!
Best,
Adam
