MIT App Inventor is a visual programming environment that enables everyone to build apps for smartphones and tablets.

The course for beginners does not require any previous programming experience. It starts with an introduction to the App Inventor interface. Then, after Event-Driven Programming is explained, learners will discover the available command blocks which they will have to combine to make their own apps. We work through a writer’s biggest challenge; writer’s block. Whether you are struggling to come up with ideas or you find yourself stuck; I will help you overcome it. A practical way might be a 10-minute freewrite, interviewing one of your characters, stripping a scene back to pure dialogue or trying a completely different exercise to get your imagination moving again.
