Mindfulness to Foster Resilience and Joy- Mindfulness for everyday

This class introduces participants to mindfulness based tools which can help to increase their resilience and well-being in a safe and fun environment. This is a practical training for cultivating mindfulness as a skill. In this experiential learning based class participants will explore various techniques that can be used to reduce stress and anxiety and build resilience. The training will present the working principles of mindfulness based practices and provide an opportunity for participants to try out a variety of techniques.

Each 1 hour session will be based on cultivating key components of mindfulness, such as: cultivating present moment awareness, compassion for self and others, non-judging, letting go, etc. Participants will be requested to commit to doing a few minutes of mindfulness practice at home between sessions. (If booking multiple sessions)

About Me
I am a certified mindfulness instructor who has spent more than two decades studying meditation and Buddhist philosophy. I teach mindfulness to adults, teenagers, small children and skeptics. I design and lead mindfulness based stress reduction/wellness programs for IT companies, Universities and non-profits. I love helping others to playfully explore mindfulness practices both on the cushion and off.

Bikram is a powerful, physical yoga practice that is initially practiced in a heated room. However, all 26 postures can also be practiced in Hatha Yoga. Yin Yoga is a gentle and restorative yoga. The postures are held for 3 to 5 minutes. This practice helps the body achieve deep relaxation. Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic yoga practice that combines breath and movement. It is ideal for improving flexibility and strengthening muscles. Nidra Meditation, also called "lucid sleep yoga," is a guided meditation, an inner journey that affects the entire body.
