About Me

I am a retired teacher of Business Studies. I retired in 2014 after having taught Business Studies, Accounting, Finance, Economics etc for 32 years in a number of secondary schools.

I became Head of Department at Crown Woods School in Eltham, after 5 years teaching at Kidbrooke School. After 15 years as Head of Department I took up a joint teaching and teacher-training role at the Leigh CTC/Academy in Kent where I remained for 12 years.

I am enjoying my retirement but have time to spare and welcome the opportunity to help learners achieve their potential in this academic area. Over the past few years I have helped a number of students improve their understanding of the subject matter and facilitated in them achieving better examination technique and improved grades. I have also been an examiner for several of the major awarding bodies for a number of business subjects. I am flexible in terms of venue.

Education

After leaving school I attended Thames Polytechnic (University of Greenwich). After working for companies such as British Gas and GEC I studied for a OGCE in Business Studies at the University of London.
