Hello everyone! My name is Alessandra, and I was born in the beautiful island of Sicily, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. Since the young age of 6, I have been swimming in these pristine waters, and my love for swimming has only grown stronger over the years.

Growing up in Sicily, I've witnessed the joy that swimming brings to people during the summer. Sadly, I've also seen individuals missing out on this incredible experience due to their fear of water. This inspired me to become a swimming tutor and help those who want to conquer their fears and discover the magic of swimming.

My approach as a swimming tutor is focused on creating a comfortable and safe environment for my students. - I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living between Pisa and Rome. I have 10 years of teaching experience. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
