I provide Japanese lessons for Japanese language learners.
I focus on conversation practice, correcting mistakes and showing you more natural expressions.
We may also study grammar and practice reading and listening comprehension as necessary.
In my lessons, I may use Japanese textbooks ("Minna no Nihongo" beginner level, "Irodori" online site) or original materials.

For beginners, I also use English or Chinese. At the intermedite levels, lessons are primarily conducted in Japanese so that students can be exposed to as much Japanese as possible.

Open to all levels of Japanese, based on the textbook Tobira OR Genki, I am flexible to the student and their needs, and I am able to help with all aspects, such as speaking (formal or informal), writing, and vocabulary. My goal is to help the student become comfortable, and depending on the time the student has as well as their level, I am able to accommodate and also make study sets as well; however, for beginners, time spent studying and memorising is critical. Bringing your interests in to learning is one of the best ways to acquire a new language! In this class, students are expected to bring a chosen anime episode, song, or anything else that is Japanese to flesh out parts that they have questions about. Common questions are "Why do they use this word instead of that one?" "What does it mean when they say ____?"

This class is recommended for intermediate to advanced Japanese leaners who aspire to learn Kanji, new words, and correct pronunciation. Students can identify what they would want to focus in each class (i.e. Kanji, vocabulary, pronunciation) and can choose whether they would like to talk in Japanese or English during the class.
