About Me

I was born and raised in Japan and hold a Japanese Language Instructor Certificate issued in Japan, as well as a B.A. in Communication Arts from the national education university, Tokyo Gakugei University.

I have over 10 years of experience teaching Japanese both online and in classroom settings. My specialties include teaching survival Japanese for people preparing to work in Japan, as well as teaching Japanese to learners ranging from young children to college students. My students have ranged in age from 6 to 75 years old.

My teaching philosophy is to make difficult things easy to understand. I am passionate about helping people learn Japanese, whether they are studying for fun, travel, work, or long-term personal goals!!

This course is for people who want to sing Japanese songs naturally and confidently.
Learn correct Japanese pronunciation for singing while improving your Japanese through your favorite songs: anime songs, J-pop, traditional Japanese songs, and more.
We will work together on pronunciation, rhythm, lyrics, and expression to help you sing more naturally at karaoke, Japanese festivals, and cultural events.

My goal is to help the student become comfortable, and depending on the time the student has as well as their level, I am able to accommodate and also make study sets as well; however, for beginners, time spent studying and memorising is critical.
