About Me

I’m passionate about teaching and find joy in seeing my students' progress. To be honest, I once struggled with languages myself, but I discovered that learning can be both effective and enjoyable. Now, I’m dedicated to helping my students experience the same, making Korean not just a subject, but a delightful journey.

I finished my Bachelor's degree in South Korea, and moved to Europe.
Learning languages has fascinated attraction, and I would love to share my experience to help my students to get to know more about Korea and Korean language.

Are you a complete beginner? No worries. Let's start by studying the correct pronunciation of sounds step by step, beginning with the 10 vowels: ᅡ, ᅣ, ᅥ, ᅧ, ᅩ, ᅭ, ᅮ, ᅲ, ᅳ.

I will guide you on how to pronounce them correctly, because good pronunciation is essential for learning any language. By starting with the fundamentals, we can make learning Korean easier and smoother. So, let's get started and master these important sounds together!

[Conversational Korean]
I am a big fan of Korean dramas, and I will use them as examples to show you how Korean is spoken in real life. This will help us develop a deeper understanding of the language and its nuances.

I will teach you how to speak Korean in both formal and informal settings, so that you can understand real Korean more effectively. My lessons are primarily designed for those who wish to improve their conversational Korean skills, and I will teach you how to speak in a fluent and natural way. Additionally, I will provide you with many expressions and phrases commonly used by native speakers to help you sound more like one.

I am also happy to assist with written Korean, whenever a student requires it.

Hello, I’m Yeon, a native Korean tutor with five years of teaching experience.

Course Presentation:

1) Conversation-focused lessons:
The main reason for learning a foreign language is usually to communicate. Even students who had no prior knowledge of Korean can now converse exclusively in Korean with me. We practice forming natural sentences, slowly and at each student’s own pace.

2) Homework and assessments:
Without homework or tests, it is very difficult to make progress in a language. I assign homework tailored to each student’s level and pace, and give a small vocabulary quiz at the end of each chapter. (During very busy periods, the amount of homework is adjusted, so don’t worry!)

3) Culture:
Language is closely connected to culture. In my lessons, we cover various topics related to Korean society, culture, history, economy, and politics.
