I’m Seulkee! I am a certified Korean instructor. I’ve been teaching Korean and Korean culture in America for 3 years. As a Korean teacher, my purpose of teaching Korean to other students is not only helping them to improve their Korean language skills but also helping them to cultivate interest in Korean culture.

Hello, I’m Seulkee. I love watching K-dramas. My hobby is hiking and making Korean snacks:) My strength is that I am a good listener and I am able to empathize and sympathize others. I like to study other languages and cultures. [Conversational Korean]
I am a big fan of Korean dramas, and I will use them as examples to show you how Korean is spoken in real life. This will help us develop a deeper understanding of the language and its nuances.

I will teach you how to speak Korean in both formal and informal settings, so that you can understand real Korean more effectively. My lessons are primarily designed for those who wish to improve their conversational Korean skills, and I will teach you how to speak in a fluent and natural way. Additionally, I will provide you with many expressions and phrases commonly used by native speakers to help you sound more like one.

1) Conversation-focused lessons:
The main reason for learning a foreign language is usually to communicate. Even students who had no prior knowledge of Korean can now converse exclusively in Korean with me. We practice forming natural sentences, slowly and at each student’s own pace.

2) Homework and assessments:
Without homework or tests, it is very difficult to make progress in a language. I assign homework tailored to each student’s level and pace, and give a small vocabulary quiz at the end of each chapter. (During very busy periods, the amount of homework is adjusted, so don’t worry!)

3) Culture:
Language is closely connected to culture. In my lessons, we cover various topics related to Korean society, culture, history, economy, and politics.
