Let me introduce myself.

I have been teaching Korean for over 8 years and currently work at the Korean Academy in the US. My students are all American, both adults and children, and I use English to instruct super beginner students. I'm proud that some of my beginner students have even passed the TOPIK test with level 2.

With a native background in Seoul, Korea, and a Bachelor's Degree in Korean Education and a certification from the National Institute of Korean Language, I have a deep understanding of Korean language and culture. My experience as a former scriptwriter for a TV station has equipped me with excellent pronunciation and writing skills that I can pass on to you.

I believe that learning should be enjoyable and engaging. My teaching style prioritizes creating a comfortable and relaxed environment where you can learn naturally and at your own pace. I am patient, communicate clearly, and use real-world materials and relevant topics to make the lessons interesting and applicable to your life.
You will be encouraged to do most of the talking during our lessons. I start the class with a small talk conversation to get their Korean-speaking brains turned on which will help you build confidence. And we'll cover key vocabulary, phrases, and grammar and you'll have plenty of chances to practice in real conversation so your Korean speaking skills up to speed with confidence.

I have diverse interests, including K-pop, K-drama, Korean Baseball, and global travel, and I'm happy to incorporate our shared interests into our lessons to make them even more engaging and enjoyable.

Hello,
I graduated with a Master's degree in Korean LLCER from Paris Diderot. I have been living in Seoul for 3 years. My classes are aimed at anyone who wants to learn Korean, from absolute beginner to beginner level.

The teaching will be done in three points:
1- learning essential grammar rules (3 to 4 per session)
2- acquisition of new vocabulary related to a given theme
3- oral and written training using the two previous points

1) Conversation-focused lessons:
The main reason for learning a foreign language is usually to communicate. Even students who had no prior knowledge of Korean can now converse exclusively in Korean with me. We practice forming natural sentences, slowly and at each student’s own pace.

2) Homework and assessments:
Without homework or tests, it is very difficult to make progress in a language. I assign homework tailored to each student’s level and pace, and give a small vocabulary quiz at the end of each chapter. (During very busy periods, the amount of homework is adjusted, so don’t worry!)

3) Culture:
Language is closely connected to culture. In my lessons, we cover various topics related to Korean society, culture, history, economy, and politics.
