Foundations of Mandarin Chinese for New Learners: Essential Vocabulary, Pronunciation, and Conversation Skills
From 25.31 £ /h
This class is a simple and friendly introduction to Mandarin Chinese. I focus on helping students learn basic conversation, everyday vocabulary, pronunciation (pinyin), and useful phrases. My lessons are easy to follow, beginner-friendly, and great for students who want to learn Chinese from the very start or improve slowly with guidance.
I teach step by step, using examples, repetition, and real-life phrases so students feel confident speaking Chinese. I can also help with Chinese homework or school assignments. Whether the goal is pronunciation, learning characters, or holding a basic conversation, I adapt each lesson to the student’s pace and comfort level.

About Me
Hello! My name is Benson, and I’m a patient, supportive, and step-by-step tutor who helps students build confidence in English writing, reading comprehension, and beginner Mandarin Chinese. I believe that every student can learn with the right guidance, and I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into clear, simple steps that make learning feel manageable and enjoyable.
My teaching style is friendly and structured. I use examples, modeling, guided practice, and lots of encouragement. Students often tell me that I explain things in a way that finally “clicks,” especially when it comes to writing essays, understanding reading passages, or learning Mandarin pronunciation (pinyin and tones).
I enjoy working with students who want to improve their foundational skills, need extra support in school, or prefer a calm and patient teacher. I adapt each lesson to the student’s pace and create a comfortable, low-pressure learning environment where questions are always welcome.
Whether your goal is stronger English essays, better reading comprehension, or learning to speak Chinese from the very beginning, I’m excited to help you grow and succeed.
