About Me

I am an experienced tutor to adults and a native Spanish speaker who is extremely enthusiastic about supporting my students in every step in their language learning journey. I am familiar and competent with a lot of the variations in accents within the Spanish speaking world. Spanish has been my main subject over the years, although I feel competent and enjoy teaching other subjects too!

I am excellent at finding out and tuning into people’s needs and learning styles, as well as quickly making students feel comfortable so they can achieve more from their work. I feel that the fact that I am constantly learning myself, gives me a great perspective in order to better help my students.

I began teaching at 18 while still a student myself, and have taught various of subjects, mostly Spanish, English and Digital Skills, in diverse settings since. It's always been my passion.

I have supported, coached, guided, advised and taught many students from children as young as 6, to adults (where I'm most experienced) as old as 89 achieve their goals. Whether is passing their exams, improving overall confidence, overcoming barriers such as grammar or pronunciation, identifying needs and setting targets, understanding terminology and difficult expressions, learning new vocabulary and tenses, and putting the joy back into learning and improving overall communication skills as well as proficiency!

My name is Dani and I am Mexican. I always ask my students about their specific goals and their preferred way of learning a language. In my classes I like to take a conversational approach, but this depends entirely on the needs of my students. I use different books with different didactic material, mostly Aula Plus and Bitacora. I also try to practice all skills: talking, writing and listening. If the student wants it, I leave homework, which I correct during the week before the next lesson, so that we can make the most of the lesson time. I share a word or phrase of the week with my students to build a useful vocabulary. Teaching is my passion. I feel motivated by the progress of my students, which I believe also keeps them motivated. German and Spanish are my native languages and I speak fluent English, I also speak fluent Dutch (with a little accent). Therefore, I can explain concepts in all these languages.
