I understand the problems you are having with Spanish, because I myself had difficulty. I've always had trouble remembering words and saying sentences without pausing ten times to translate each word in my head.
But I had the opportunity to spend three months in a high school in Costa Rica, with a local family. It is thanks to this immersion that I was able to overcome my difficulties and understand the keys to language learning. Today, I am trilingual and in the process of learning a fourth language.
