I am professionally trained classical saxophone player and teacher. Over the years I have had the opportunity to teach and perform in Europe (Slovenia, Austria, United Kingdom, Germany) and USA (St. Louis). I have worked with students aged from 5 to high school level, as well as adult beginners. Teaching using a French school method of saxophone I specializing in classical and contemporary music literature. I incorporate some music theory, specialize in building the correct saxophone embouchure (or the correct lipping), overtone technique for advanced students , airstream production and correct breathing technique. Adapting specific saxophone-technique methods to each student's needs and progress. Finding lessons fun is important for the success of learning an instrument so I always do my best to keep our lessons relaxed and engaging. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (spe. Classical/contemporary saxophone), I know how to easily mix practical courses and theoretical notions, in order to adapt to the student as well as to his interests to provide a course that really brings him the elements that will allow him to quickly flourish in the musical field. With 7 years of teaching experience in ASBL and in particular, I usually train students of all ages, beginners as well as advanced. I am open to a large number of musical styles, current or old, focusing my artistic approach on an "all musical". I currently specialize in mastering the Saxophone, on a classical and contemporary repertoire, but I am also very open to improvisation and live music such as jazz (swing, bossa, fusion, ...) but also to electronic styles (D&B, Dubstep, Lofi, House,..) My ultimate goal is to allow the student to express his ideas in music, and that he evolves and flourishes in what he really likes. I take beginners without any knowledge of music theory. In the classes we will address the different elements that make up music in different styles, knowing the particular language of each one. To do this, we will work on the different tools that we have with each instrument at the level at which each one is. We all know music but many times they make us believe that no, that it is necessary to know how to read and write. That is the graphic part of the language that we will learn little by little, music is a compendium of many other things. Some that we already know and others to know. We will study the use of the keys and the positions of the clarinet, or the sax, the best way to position ourselves whether we play standing or sitting, the most efficient way to use the air, the diaphragm, the muscles. We will learn to form a good embouchure and we will develop a study method adapted to each one, according to their tastes, possibilities and interests. I work with boys and girls from different parts of the world as well as with adults and the elderly. In my experience I learned that, truly, the greatest limitation that we find ourselves is the very feeling of not being able, of believing that we cannot. The support of a dedicated teacher is essential to get out of those places where we accidentally enter and that sometimes limit us. We all feel that sometime. It is time for us to remedy it. I will provide my own materials in pdf, video and audio. There is no age limit.

I was trained on the clarinet for over ten years by music professionals, including a professional clarinetist from the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra (Hamburg, Germany). I mainly teach beginners, but I am also happy to take on more advanced students. I do not offer preparation for conservatory entrance exams. Important: Due to my German background, I have learnt to play the German model. However, I am still able to teach students with French models who have mastered the basics, as my work is mainly focussed on the development of embouchure. In my lessons, I attach great importance to the needs of my students, because the joy of playing is and remains the most important thing.

Graduated with a Master's degree in clarinet from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, a Didactic Master's degree in clarinet and a didactic master's degree in musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, I propose to give you lessons for all levels of clarinet and/or of musical training. I am available every day and move to your home at your convenience. Depending on the level and age of the students, the duration of my classes vary between 30 minutes, 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes.

In the lessons we learn: - BREATHING, POSTURE, PROPER EMBROCHURE The basics for playing any wind instrument is to develope a correct embrochure, a relaxed posture and understanding how to breathe using the diaphragm. Building these foundations is the key to start without frustrations! -TECHNIQUE AND REPERTOIR Learn and develope the proper technique in order to being able to play every music you like. It's best to find a balance between technique excersices and learning songs/music you feel motivated to play to. - MUSICAL NOTATION Music reading and notation, learn to read any score or piece of music you want to play. - IMPROVISE IN VARIOUS STYLES Develope your musicality by learning to improvise in different rythms and styles, being able to express yourself freely. Understand how harmony works and how can we transform technical excersises like scales, arpeggios and patterns into a consistent musical speech - PLAY AND GET FAMILIAR WITH VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES Jazz, rock, pop, folk, classical music, etc. You can learn to play whatever style you dream to, and understand what makes a genre sound lik one. -HAVE FUN LEARNING AND PLAYING The most important part of this is themost basic: have fun. My name is Claudia, I am a Spanish saxophonist and now I study at the Haute École de Musique de Genève. I have just studied saxophone in Musikene, San Sebastián (Spain), with Miguel Ángel Lorente and Thomas Bharthélemy. I have followed numerous masterclasses, notably with Claude Delangle, Marie-Bernadette Charrier, Alexandro Markeas, Fukio Quartet and the Squillante ensemble. I like playing classical saxophone as well as modern, jazz and folk music. I give lessons for all levels. I have already worked with children and young people giving saxophone lessons and music theory, both individually and in groups. My goal is to encourage my students to enjoy music and instrumental practice. I adapt to the needs and tastes of each student.

Hello, I am Oriane, a french dancer and musician, passionate about the clarinet, movement, traditional music and creativity. My background is in folk music and oral transmission, particularly klezmer music. I teach in a fun and engaging way and because of my experience as a dancer I place a strong emphasis on the body, breath and the inner sensations in order to develop a rich sound quality but also to make playing the clarinet joyful, enjoyable and relaxing. Apart from basic technique, I can teach: - tunes and contemporary folk music from France and other western European countries as well as South America. - klezmer (jewish) music, including the typical modes, phrasing and ornaments. - improvisation games to develop one's creativity and confidence in one's capacity to improvise - advanced techniques such as slap tonguing or circular breathing Learning can be done by ear or with music sheets depending on the student's preference. I like to play duets so that my students feel like they are doing music from the very beginning of the learning process and develop their musicality early on.
