Experience / Qualifications

My name is Megan, I am a student and photographer specialising in contemporary art and photography.

Academically, my research covers the areas of contemporary art themes, curation and the development of photographic techniques. I have completed some course papers and curatorial projects exploring topics such as gender ideology, artistic experimentation in the post-photographic era, and gender fluidity.

During my internship and project experience, I have worked as a gallery assistant, brand communication team member, and assistant journalist at organisations such as Beijing Three Shadows Cultural Communication Co Ltd, Alibaba Group, and China News Service, gaining extensive practical experience. I have participated in the planning and execution of some art exhibitions and marketing projects and was the chief director of the Flying Pig & Universal Studios Beijing PR communication project, responsible for the pre-production script, on-site shooting and post-production editing.

My works have been selected for the 6th abC Art Book Exhibition-Shanghai, and I have won some honours such as the second prize in the Zhejiang University Students' Photography Competition and the third prize in the National Photography Bimonthly Competition. I am proficient in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign and many other professional software.

My goal is to inspire more people to discover and express their creativity and emotions through photography and art education, and I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with you in class.

Hi! Are you looking for a specific course that covers Photoshop retourching and color science techniques? Here is what you're looking for!
I am experienced in retouching studio shots and this course gives you the possibility of learning techniques from basic to advanced to do things such as:

- Color Correction
- Color Grading
- Skin Retouching
- Correct Masking & Advanced Local Adjustment techniques

Plus, I will include some additional tips on the workflow and optimization of your workstation, such as monitor calibration for an effective color correction.

I hold a PhD in Art and Communication with Photography as my field of specialism and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education.
At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting.I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them.

As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout.

I have been teaching photography since 2009.
I offer private lessons to photography students and any other individuals who would be interested in 'how to'/technical skills sessions or in developing a photographic body of work and would be in need for some expert advice. Hi !
it's a long time since I am working as a photographer, a bit more than 20 years and I really love my profession.
Photography is both a work and a passion.
I am doing fashion photography, portraits and still lifes. I enjoy the studio work.
I am also passionate about exterior photography, travel images, pictures done in nature.
I can teach you on an online class different photography subjects depending on your needs.
We could go through the very basics of photography, see how a digital or film camera works, the aperture, time, ISO speed subjects.
On an online class we could also do some more creative things like PORTRAIT techniques, or if you have FLASH lights and want to learn more we could go through it. We could also try Light Painting, with a long exposure using a torch light held by hands .

If you're already taking pictures, I'd be happy to see your work. In the last times I am personally trying to make my portfolios a bit differently than my habits.
